Xander’s hands trembled as he held his suitcase.

When he glanced at Rosalie, he tried hard to calm himself down.

He could not lose to Byron, and he could not show his cowardliness before this woman.

“What do you want?”

He forced himself to look into the eyes of the three of them.

Byron’s cold voice sounded after Xander asked him that question.

“At first, I only planned to get you locked up in prison after I married Rosie. Unexpectedly, you asked for a death wish by poisoning Rosie.”

Byron’s gaze turned colder as he said coldly, “If you had remained nice until Rosie and I got married, Lancer Corporation might not have had to go bankrupt. However, sending you to prison now will be far from enough!”

Hearing this, Xander was bewildered again.

No wonder he felt Byron’s investigation on Lancer Corporation was too fast and too deep.

Xander gaze was cold as he glared at Andrius. “What did you say? How dare you question my medical skills? If I’m such a bad doctor, why did you guys experiment for so many days but still failed to find a way to cure the poison?”

Andrius shrugged his shoulders in disdain. “You're way inferior to Rosalie. It looks like you still don’t realize it. You want to be better than Byron in the business field and exceed Rosalie in the medical field. Mr. Lancer, you should've been quicker to realize the truth instead of stubbornly provoking them."

“You know nothing! As long as…”

Xander lost his rationale and glared at Rosalie. “As long as Rosalie joined hands with me, I could create a huge medical empire! I did it because she didn’t know what was best for her! As long as she did what I said, I could ensure nothing happened to her, and she could enjoy all the fame and flory with me!”

He meant to say that it was Rosalie’s fault that he ended up like this.

The ferry fell silent.

Andrius, who had been mocking him, frowned.

Rosalie also looked at him coldly. “Xander, I thought you would at least feel sorry after what you've done. Unexpectedly, you're still stubborn and refuse to repent.”

Xander’s face flushed red. “Repent? Why should I repent? Your mindset is too shallow. Can’t I make money practicing medicine? Look at the history of the Lancer family and the Lawrence family! Why should I let the Lawrence family suppress us? I want to turn the tables. I did nothing wrong.”
