Chapter 1904 Spoil Him Once

Mary heard Estelle had designed a wedding gown for Rosalie, so she visited Rosalie immediately after work to look at it.

When she saw the gown, she felt envious.

“If we weren't best friends, I would've brought a pair of scissors and cut this gown into pieces. It's so gorgeous!”

The way Mary praised this dress was strange, but that was how she always was.

Rosalie smiled and comforted her, saying, “When you get married, Estie’s design talent will greatly improve. I’ll ask her to design a wedding gown for you.”

“You're right. As her godmother, I also deserve a beautiful wedding gown.”

Mary smiled. She had seen her best friend suffer and turn from a caterpillar into a butterfly.

“How's your mother’s health? Is she getting better? Rosalie asked casually.

“She's alright now and has been doing well. She has gained weight, and her mood is better. Moreover, she has decided to stay in Coast City and not return to the southwest.”

Rosalie could feel that ever since rescuing Mary’s mother, Mary's mood had also gotten better.

Mary was back to her joyful self, and her eyes were glowing.

“Since she plans to stay here, it’s time for you to get a man. How’s everything recently? Andrius took leave from his job. Did he go and look for you?” Rosalie was still exchanging pleasantries with Mary.

She thought Mary would still complain about how boring Andrius was.

Unexpectedly, Mary’s face flushed red. She could not hide her joy.

“He's been accompanying my mom. They've been traveling around Coast City. I came today to ask you if I could take leave with my leave quota for this month. Since the wedding day is in a few days, I’ll keep one off day for your wedding.”

Rosalie was shocked upon hearing that. “Hey, that's a quick improvement. It looks like you're getting impatient. Alright, you're the director of the hospital. You can take any day off as long as you've arranged your work. You don’t have to get my permission.”

Indeed! Although Rosalie had never set any restrictions for her, Mary abided by the rules and dared not take leave simply.

Sometimes, she even worked overtime.

It was because she knew the hospital was not a place to make a profit. The profit earned was only enough to pay the workers their salaries. Only a little money was left each month.

Thus, she devised a set of expensive body check-up plans for the wealthy. It would make them more profitable and increase their revenue a little.

However, they also used the money to buy new equipment.

“Alright then. I’ll take three days off to accompany my mom and travel around,” Mary said seriously.

Rosalie immediately exposed Mary’s intention. “You're taking the days off to accompany someone else, but it’s a good chance to win his heart."

They chatted and laughed happily.

When Byron returned from work, Mary greeted him and left.

Rosalie told her husband what Andrius had been doing. She knew Byron cared about Andrius very much.

“That’s great! He's been busy for years. It’s time for him to take a break from work. Mary is a nice woman and will make a suitable wife for Andrius.”

Byron felt less worried.

“Didn’t you say you needed to pick someone up from the airport at midnight? Who's this person? It's rare that someone can make you pick them up personally. Can’t Luther go instead?” Rosalie asked suddenly.

Byron nodded and answered, “Who else? It’s Lucas. We have something to ask from him this time. So, I’ll spoil him once.”
