Chapter 2000
My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball
Chapter 2000 Not What He Expected Byron returned home immediately after a short meeting at the company.
He had picked up courses. All the care knowledge for pregnant mothers was planted in his mind.
He was surprised to see Andrius and Mary at his manor.
âYou just delivered supplements last night. What do you plan to give Rosie today?â Byron quipped.
However, Mary glared at him fiercely.
Even Andrius looked at him gloomily and with a hint of disdain.
Instead, Rosalie had a smile on her face.
She knew, of course, that after the two of them heard the story, they would be dissatisfied with how Byron had treated her in their marriage previously.
âAndrius, whatâs going on? Talk to me!â
Maryâs gaze turned sharp and cold.
Byron felt a chill running down his spine. He began to recall what he had done that offended his wife.
âByron, do you remember this wish bottle?â
Rosalie approached him with the wish bottle. As if something had struck her, she placed the purple paper back into the bottle after folding it.
Byron looked at it and soon recalled what it was.
âIsnât this the wish bottle I gave you back then? Looks like Andrius dug it up. Were you all talking about what happened back then?â Byron looked at Mary tentatively.
Maryâs anger spiked when she saw Byronâs calm reaction. She retorted, âPresident Lawrence, let me ask you something. Since you knew Rosalie years ago, why did you treat her so badly when you married her back then?â
âByron, you shouldâve been able to recognize Rosalie when you married her. You shouldâve recognized her as that high school girl you talked about!â Andrius remembered Byron mentioning an amazing girl he had met back then.
Now, Byron knew why they seemed displeased.
He looked at his wife.
Rosalie was still smiling. âI havenât had the time to explain. So, why donât you explain it yourself, Mr.
Lawrence?â
Byron felt helpless. He had apologized to Rosalie about this matter a long time ago.
âIn fact, the reason is very simple. I didnât expect that a girl I once thought was lovely would end up marrying me for money. Now you can blame me all you want. But thatâs exactly how I thought at the time. I blame my parents or perhaps even fate for all this. If the order of the matter could be adjusted, things wouldnât have ended up like this!â
Back then, Byron had just taken over Lawrence Corporation and faced many schemes in the business world.
He found that a lot of business knowledge he had learned before was of no use at all.
Fortunately, he did not lose his footing. He reacted quickly and defeated the competitors. Then, he introduced the company to a promising industry and future.
Probably because of his career, he lost his trust in people.
At the same time, Rosalie became his wife by coincidence.
It was because they wanted to make his grandfather happy that his parents got him a wife. They even gave his wifeâs father some money as a reward.
However, it turned out to be the beautiful girl he met when he was young.
That was not the change he was expecting from Rosalie.
A girl who was in the library every day should not have become such a woman. She even married a random man because of money.
Would she have married some other wealthy man if she did not marry him?
At that time, it was impossible for him to have any feelings for Rosalie, whom he thought had turned out to be someone like that.
