Chapter 2026
My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball
Meanwhile, Violet was in a villa in the suburbs of Coast City.
Upon receiving a call from Gordon, she learned he had cancer and was about to die soon.
However, Violet was only startled for a while before she scoffed. Then, she responded coldly, âGordon, it serves you right. You deserve it!â
He was silent momentarily before calmly saying, âViolet, Iâm calling you today just because of one thing. Do you remember Rosieâs motherâs belongings? Please, give them back. I want to return the items to Rosie.â
âGordon, what are you talking about? I never took them!â Violet flared up.
Next to her, her son, Ethan, with dark circles under his eyes, kept yawning as he asked, âMom, whoâs calling?â
âYour father!â Violet answered in rage.
On the other end of the call, Gordon tried to negotiate humbly, âViolet, Iâm dying. I hope you still have a shred of conscience. Return the items, and you can have nothing to do with me for the rest of your life!â
âGordon, let me be clear with you. I didnât take them! I didnât take them! Back then, I did want to have them. I almost dug up the house, but I couldnât find them. Whether you believe it or not has nothing to do with me! Donât ever call me again!â
Violet hung up the call after yelling at Gordon.
Ethan knew his mother was angry, but he did not care. Instead, he urged her, âMom, make some food quickly!â
Looking at her useless son, Violet felt angry and scolded,â Ethan, get a job! Youâre gambling day and night, almost turning yourself into trash! Donât you care about your family at all?â
Ethan frowned and glared at his mother.
âWhy do I have to care about them? Iâm getting divorced. Iâm looked down on because of Gordon! I canât even get a proper job. What did I do to face all these?â
After Ethan snapped at his mother, he went to the kitchen and began to find something to eat.
Violet was left startled in the living room.
Fortunately, her daughter married a wealthy businessman, and they had a villa to live in. Otherwise, she would have been doomed if she had expected to rely on her husband or son, who were worthless and useless.
Meanwhile, Gordon calmly analyzed things after Violet hung up on him.
Rosalie and Byron were waiting next to him.
Gordon told them Rosalieâs mother had left some things for her, and Violet might have stolen them.
That was why Gordon called Violet.
âGordon, maybe Violet has sold them.â Byron thought of the possibilities.
Rosalie had no feelings for anything in that house anymore. However, when she heard that her mother had left some things for her, she wondered what they were.
Gordon shook his head and denied Byronâs guess.
His brows still furrowed. âThatâs not likely. If Violet had taken them, she wouldnât have said that she had searched the house in and out. She doesnât have to lie to me now.â
âWhat did my mom leave behind? Are they worth a lot? Violet is so despicable that she even wanted to take my momâs belongings!â
Rosalie looked angry as she spoke.
Byron comforted her, preventing her from getting anxious and agitated.
âSince Violet didnât steal them, I think the relics left by your mom must still be in the house. We just have to search, and maybe we can find them somewhere!â
Gordon nodded. âRosie, Iâll look for them and give you a call if I find them!â
