Chapter 239
My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball
Chapter 239 Go Accompany Your Future Wife, President Lawrence Back in her room, Rosalieâs expression turned somewhat ugly. Her mind was also empty as she sat down on the bed and spaced out. She did not think she would meet Byron here and especially did not think that Wendy would come chasing over. If the three of them were to bump into one anotherâ¦
Rosalie could not even imagine what would unfold. Thinking of this, Rosalieâs gaze focused as she got up and began packing her luggage.
If she could not afford to trigger them, she could still afford to avoid them.
Either way, she had no more business in North City. Her leaving whenever would make no difference.
As she was halfway packing her things, a knock sounded on her door. Rosalie got up. When she was going to open the door, she hesitated for a moment before asking, âWho is it?â Leonâs voice sounded from outside the door. âItâs me. Itâs about time for lunch. Do you want to go together?â
Only after hearing this did Rosalie open the door and let Leon into the room.
Seeing her almost packed luggage, Leon could not help but be stunned for a moment. âWhat are you doing?â
Rosalie smiled at him apologetically. âI was thinking that since thereâs nothing else for me to do here, I should head back first.â
Leon frowned. âBecause of Wendy?â
Otherwise, why would she want to leave all of a sudden when she had been fine this morning and had not mentioned anything about going back?
Leon was aware of the entanglement between them. Rosalie did not hide it either. She just lowered her gaze in acquiescence.
âWhat can she do to you with me here? If we go out and about together, she wonât think that you and President Lawrence have anything to do with each other anymore, no?â Leon was puzzled Rosalie smiled calmly. âItâs better to have one thing less to worry about. Besides, we donât have anything else after this, so we can go back at any time. If so, why should I trouble myself?
Leon pondered for a moment and nodded approvingly. âThatâs true. There really isnât anything else.
Since you want to go back, Iâll go back and tidy up.â
Rosalie nodded and agreed.
Not long after, they were done packing their bags and went downstairs to check out.
Done with the formalities, they turned around only to see Byron returning from outside. âPresident Lawrence,â Leon greeted politely. Rosalie nodded to him coldly. Byron looked at the suitcase in their hands and frowned. âYou two are going back?â
Leon nodded. âThe conference is over and we have nothing else to do here. Itâs about time we head back, so we wonât be able to accompany President Lawrence anymore.â
With that, he turned to look at Rosalie, wondering if she had anything to say to Byron. Rosalie, however, just looked indifferent. After Leonâs explanation, she immediately pulled her luggage and head out. It was lunchtime. She did not want to be meeting Wendy in a moment as it would only get her into trouble.
Seeing this, Leon followed her with large strides. Just as she reached the door, the man standing there grabbed his wrist. Rosalieâs footsteps staggered slightly. She glanced back at the big hand on her wrist.â President Lawrence, show some self-respect.â
The strength in Byronâs hand did not decrease. Instead, he looked to Leon who was at the side âWhat time is the flight you bought?â
Leon looked down at him gripping Rosalieâs hand, and his tone was much colder. âItâs probably too late to buy tickets for the earliest flight now. President Lawrence. You shouldnât waste our time now.â
Hearing this, Byronâs brows knotted together before quickly relaxing. He looked at the woman beside him. âIt just so happens that I also bought tickets for the same flight.â Rosalie broke away from his hand. She met his gaze distantly and said, âPresident Lawrence, you should go up to accompany your fiancee. She just arrived and is still waiting for you in your room, so if youâll excuse us.â With that, she left without looking back.
