Yves’ expression was awful as he nodded slightly.

He had always looked composed, and this was the first time that he looked this awful.

Rosalie did not know what was said on the line earlier. She only thought that the manager’s bad attitude was what made Yves look like this.

“It’s not worth getting pissed off over it. After all, it’s my responsibility. I ’ll think of a way.” she smiled and consoled him as if nothing happened.

Yves felt useless for not being able to help Rosalie and the research institute. “Quirke Enterprise is a huge company. Shouldn’t they be trustworthy?”

Rosalie was slightly startled.

“Back then, so many doctors were helpless about Old Master Quirke’s illness and you were the one who took action in the end so that he could be healed.

Hearing such childish words coming out of Yves’ mouth, Rosalie found it to be a mismatch with his character, she found it a little amusing.

“I should talk to them!” Yves banged the table, abruptly got up from the sofa, and walked toward the exit.

Back then when the Quirke family asked him to cure Old Master Quirke, he was somewhat close to them. No matter what, he needed to get justice for Rosalie!

Seeing how he was rarely impulsive, Rosalie was stunned for a few seconds before she reacted. She then quickly got up and stopped him. “Don’t be impulsive. The one orchestrating this is Lawrence Corporation. Even if you go talk to the Quirke family, there won’t be any guaranteed results. Let’s sit down.”

She pulled on Yves’ arm while speaking and pulled him back from the door.

Yves looked gloomy and was frowning as he was made to sit down by Rosalie. He could not help, so he just asked, “I know this is your personal matter, but can you tell me what in the world is going on between you and Lawrence Corporation? why would their huge company target our little research institute?”

He previously believed that he had known Rosalie for a long time but only recently came to realize that he knew nothing about her personal life.

There was nothing personal about their relationship. They only shared a working relationship.

This realization made Yves even more frustrated.

Rosalie did not know what he was thinking, but she did not want to dive deeper into what was between her and Lawrence Corporation.

There was a sudden silence in the office.

Yves frowned slightly and slowly calmed down. He realized that he was going over the top and had asked questions that crossed the line.

“It’s alright. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to. I was going overboard.” Yves looked away, raised his hand, and pressed his eyebrows in annoyance.

Rosalie frowned apologetically. “I’m sorry. It’s my personal matter, so I don’t feel comfortable revealing it. But don’t worry, I’ll solve the research institute’s problem.”

Yves nodded.

“The situation on the Quirke family’s side is not as simple as you think. Throughout this time, I had a personal friendship with Young Master Quirke while I treated old Master Quirke. He’s also good to me, so let me handle them. I’ll visit them myself in a while.”

Rosalie thought for a while and said to Yves, “You stay at the research institute. If any employee asks about the medicinal materials, please placate them.”
