Chapter 45 No Wish To Meet Him She felt regretful about her best friend being the one who helped her fetch her children the past two days.

After dealing with work in the morning, Rosalie took the time to go to the Quirke household in the afternoon, thinking that she could pick up the two little ones by herself in the evening. When she arrived at the Quirke household, she checked Old Master Quirke‘s condition. Confirming that there were no complications, she continued with the treatment process and inserted the needles.

While she was extracting the needles later on, Andrius came in with a document. “Dr. Jacobs, this is the contract prepared. Take a look at it. If there are no problems, you can sign it.”

This was what they had agreed on last night. Rosalie was not surprised either. She accepted it and looked it through carefully before leaving her signature. After signing the contract, Andrius‘ attitude toward her became even friendlier. “From now on, we‘ll have a working relationship. However, I still have to trouble you for my grandpa‘s condition.”

Rosalie nodded. “It‘s what I should do.”

The two chatted for a while. Rosalie looked at the time and removed the needles from the old master.

Although she had tried working on time, it was already past the time the kindergarten let out the children by the time she was done packing up her things. Rosalie quickly got up and said her goodbyes before driving to the kindergarten to pick up two little guys. She did not tell them that she would be late today and wondered if they would be worried. By the time she got to the kindergarten, it was already empty and almost all the children had left. Rosalie looked around only to find the two on the small chairs in the playground. She did not see an accompanying teacher, however. Seeing this, Rosalie quickened her pace as she walked over somewhat worriedly. “Mommy!” Seeing her, the two boys ran toward her happily.

Rosalie hugged them each in one hand. She caressed their small faces and said while crouching down, “Mommy was a little busy at work that I accidentally missed the time. I‘m sorry.”

Lucian shook his head sensibly. “It doesn‘t matter. Besides, we were also waiting in the kindergarten, and the teacher was with us. You don‘t have to worry.”

Nox also nodded. Hearing this, Rosalie looked at them puzzled. “Is there a teacher with you?”

Lucian pointed to the corner of the playground. Looking in the direction he pointed, Rosalie saw that there was another slide there. The teacher was crouched there, talking to a little girl with a cordial smile. The little girl was dressed in a cute kindergarten uniform. Her hands were a little stiff on her knees. She was sitting very upright, but her eyes were fixed on them. Seeing the little girl‘s face clearly, Rosalie was stunned.

If she was not mistaken, that was clearly... Byron‘s daughter.
