Chapter 513
My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball
Chapter 513 Easy To Misunderstand It was already past seven oâclock in the evening when Rosalie came out of the experimental area.
Looking at the time, Rosalie felt that she seemed to have forgotten something.
Just as she found it strange, Lisa called.
Rosalie frowned.
âMiss Jacobs, are you all on your way?â Lisaâs voice rang out as soon as the call was connected.
Hearing this, Rosalie suddenly remembered the two boys. She quickly said to Lisa, âoh my, I completely forgot! Iâll head there now!â
She hung up the phone and hurried to the kindergarten.
When she arrived at the kindergarten, she saw that the front gate was already closed. The boys were no longer inside.
At that moment, Rosalie panicked. After a few seconds, she called Miss Leigh Ann.
âPresident Lawrence has already picked up Lucian and Nox. Didnât President Lawrence tell you?â On the other end, the teacher asked curiously.
Byron had picked them upâ¦
Rosalie breathed a sigh of relief, thanked Miss Leigh Ann, and hung up the phone in a complicated mood.
Looking at the empty kindergarten, Rosalie was full of self-blame.
During this period, she had gotten used to Nanny Lisa picking up the boys that she ended up forgetting such an important thing.
Thank goodness, thank goodness for Byronâ¦
Just as her thoughts raced, her phone rang again.
Rosalie came back to her senses and glanced at the caller ID. It was Byron.
He must be calling about the boys.
Rosalie answered the phone without hesitation.
âWhen will you be back?â Byronâs magnetic voice sounded in her ear.
Hearing this, Rosalie was startled again. After a few seconds of delayed reaction, she realized that they were going to rehearse the stage play today. The man should be waiting at her house now.
Those words were compelling and made her feel as though they were a family.
Rosalie suppressed the tingle in her heart and said simply, âIâm already on the way. Thanks for picking Lucian and Nox up. Sorry for the trouble, President Lawrence.â
On the other side, Byron replied in a deep voice with a touch of care, âDrive slowly. The children are having fun. Donât worry.â
Rosalie felt a strange feeling in her heart and responded vaguely before hanging up the phone.
Byronâs gentle tone was too easy to misunderstand.
After spending a moment at the entrance of the kindergarten, Rosalie calmed down and drove back to the villa.
As soon as she entered her home, the man was sitting on the sofa and handling work on his mobile phone.
The three little ones were nowhere to be seen.
âMiss Jacobs, are you alright? why are you so late?â Lisa greeted her with concern.
Rosalie explained to Lisa apologetically, âI originally wanted to pick them up, but there was suddenly a delay in work.â
Lisa understood, glanced at Byron on the sofa, and said, âThank goodness President Lawrence picked the kids up and didnât let them wait until now.â
Rosalie followed her line of sight. The man seemed to have just finished his work as he had put away his phone. He stood up and walked toward them.
âThank you.â Seeing the man in front of her, Rosalie lowered her eyes slightly and said her thanks softly.
Byron nodded and said solemnly, âsince youâre home, letâs eat first. The three of them fussed about being hungry after school. When they came back, Lisa had already prepared dinner, but they insisted on waiting for you to come back.â
Rosalie pursed her lips and nodded.
As she had agreed to have dinner, Byron turned around and went to the backyard.
Rosalie knew that the boys should be playing in the backyard, so she followed suit.
