Chapter 529
My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball
Chapter 529 How Should I React?
Byron stood behind her and gazed at Rosalieâs back for a long time.
He did not know what the woman was thinking as she had yet to notice his presence, she just continued to sit alone.
After a long time, Byron frowned and walked toward her.
Rosalie came back to her senses after the manâs shadow fell in front of her. she raised her eyes to look at the person in front of her.
When their gazes met, Rosalie frowned and stood up alertly, she took two steps back to pull apart the distance between them.
âWhatâs on your mind, Miss Jacobs? why did you run out here after leaving Lucian and Nox behind?â
Byron asked nonchalantly, and there was a hint of concern in his tone.
Rosalie looked at the man in front of her and replied right away, âDidnât you also leave Estie behind when you came out here?â
Hearing this, his eyes darkened slightly. After a while, he pursed his lips. âEstie is worried about you, so Iâm just out to help her check on you.â
The man feigned nonchalance. Rosalie thought about how distressed she was just now and could not stop feeling annoyed. She felt that the man in front of her seemed to be toying with her.
After a few seconds of silence, Rosalie asked, âThanks for your concern, President Lawrence. I was just thinking, why didnât you act as we had rehearsed in the last scene of the play?â
With that, Rosalie watched the man in front of her raise his brows slightly. He even looked a little surprised.
Seeing the manâs expression, Rosalie felt puzzled.
Byron asked ambiguously, âDid you feel it?â
Rosalie frowned, completely confirming that the kiss was not her delusion.
This man had literally kissed her in public.
Did the audience under the stage see it? If they had⦠Byron had a fiancee, and almost everyone in the kindergarten knew this, but he had kissed her in front of everyone.
Rosalieâs heart was in chaos because she did not know what Byron was thinking, let alone what everyone who saw that scene would think.
Rosalie could not help feeling frightened as she thought of all the possible reactions of those people.
Her emotions were a little out of control. âHow could I not? Did you think I really fell asleep? There were so many people watching. Why didnât you perform as we had rehearsed?â
Seeing the womanâs flustered look, Byronâs eyes darkened. His eyebrows returned to their original positions as he said, âIt seems that youâre rather bothered by this, Miss Jacobs.â
Rosalie looked at him inexplicably. âIâm indeed bothered by this, so explain yourself, President Lawrence!â
Byron nodded slightly, his tone indifferent. âWould you believe me if I said it was just an accident?â
Rosalie was stunned. For a moment, her face was full of suspicion.
âAt that time, I really wanted to act according to how we had rehearsed, but the position where I stood was blocking the stage light. I didnât notice our distance, so an accident happened.â
After speaking, he glanced at Rosalie ambiguously. âI was also surprised at the time, but I carried on the show because I could see that you werenât responding. I didnât expect you to be so offended, Miss Jacobs.â
The implication was that Rosalie had given him a reason to continue.
Hearing this explanation, Rosalie felt absurd. âHow should I have reacted so that youâd know that I was bothered, President Lawrence?â
There were so many people in the audience. Could she ignore the plot and forcibly push him away?
Byron pondered for a moment, then answered helplessly. âTo be honest, I wouldnât know from the situation at that time. But since it has passed, itâs meaningless for US to discuss these.â
