Chapter 684 Go And stay There For A Few Days First “I won’t! I waited for Byron for six years! Why should I dissolve my engagement with him!”

Wendy protested, all choked up with red eyes. After she said that, she then looked toward Byron’s direction, aggrieved.

Meeting her gaze, he frowned deeply.

If this were a different scene, he would definitely have a showdown with the Fullers.

After saying that, Henry walked out from behind the desk with a dark expression. He strode out of the study and when he walked to Byron’s side, he nodded to him.

Byron frowned. Seeing Henry striding away, Wendy cried breathlessly in the study.

Magdalene on the other hand, just looked at her husband and then at her daughter, she could not persuade either of them. In the end, she could only look to Byron. “Byron, look… I’m afraid it’ll take a while before your uncle Fuller’s anger goes away. Can you take Wendy to your place to stay for two days?”

After she said, as if afraid that he would not agree, she cautiously added, “I know that you have something to say about your marriage with Wendy. We’ll sit down and have a good talk once your Uncle Henry calms down. Don’t worry, Wendy will not cause you trouble!”

Wendy was sobbing and did not speak.

Byron did not expect to encounter such a situation when he came here.

Hearing Magdalene bring up their marriage, he frowned deeply and thought for a moment before agreeing noncommittally, “I got it.”

After saying that, he looked up and glanced in Wendy’s direction., ” Come with me.”

Wendy and Magdalene were both pleasantly surprised hearing him agree so easily, but they still had to hold it in and not show it on their faces.

Wendy hesitated on the spot for a while and when she was done, she slowly picked up her feet and walked to Byron’s side.

“Go and stay at Byron’s for two days first. I’ll try to persuade your father here. I will pick you up after he calms down.” Magdalene showed how distressed she was for her daughter and when she spoke, her eyes turned red.

Wendy sobbed and nodded.

Byron gave Magdalene a slight nod and then led Wendy straight out the door of the Fuller household.

Magdalene pretended and followed them to the door, she watched the two of them get into the car and leave.

Seeing Byron’s car disappear, the bitterness on Magdalene’s face disappeared instantly and was replaced by a smug look.

“How did it go? Have they left?” Henry came down from upstairs, expression no longer showing any anger.

He looked at the door again cautiously when he spoke.

Magdalene nodded proudly.

Their plan just now was to pretend that Wendy had gotten into a fight with Henry and him kicking Wendy out of the house. Then, they would get Melody to come forward and get Byron to come over to the Fuller household.

When the time came that Wendy was kicked out of the Fuller household, even if Byron was reluctant, he would have to keep Wendy for a few days seeing that they knew one another.
