Chapter 857 Give Ma’am A Call Seeing the little one not responding to him, Byron felt helpless.

Since the little one got to know Rosalie, she had been treating him differently from Rosalie.

The little one quickly forgave Rosalie for what she did yesterday.

All Byron did was not listen to the little one, yet she was so angry that she refused to listen to him.

If he did not know that Rosalie was Estelle’s birth mother, Byron would not have any explanation he could use to convince himself.

“Didn’t you want to say something to me yesterday? I’ll listen to you now.”

After a while, Byron suppressed his helpless feeling about Estelle’s attitude and coaxed her gently.

Then, Estelle lifted her head and looked at Byron.

Byron’s gaze deepened. Seeing the little girl’s face, his heart sank.

He had heard nothing from Estelle and thought she was only sulking.

However, he noticed the tears on Estelle’s face when she lifted her head. Tears were still shimmering in her eyes and flowing down her cheeks.

“Bad Daddy…”

Estelle choked as she sobbed, she looked wronged.

Her current state scared Byron. He did not retort and let Estelle scold him as she wished. He nodded.

“It’s Daddy’s fault.” Then, Byron lifted his hand to wipe off the little girl’s tears.

However, the little one dodged without hesitation as though Byron was a monster.

Byron did not manage to wipe off his daughter’s tears. It reminded him of the time Estelle was still in a meltdown.

The little girl could finally speak, but she seemed to have returned to her previous self.

“I don’t want Daddy! ” Estelle whimpered, “I want Auntie. Boo- hoo…”

Byron’s gaze deepened.

Watching the little one sobbing non-stop, Mrs. Zora anxiously looked at Byron and suggested, “Sir, why don’t you give Ma’am a call?”

At least Estelle would be able to hear Rosalie’s voice.

Mrs. Zora’s way of addressing Rosalie made Byron’s gaze turn gloomy.

However, Estelle’s situation was terrible and she needed immediate attention.

After a few seconds of silence, Byron took out his phone and dialed Rosalie’s number.

Meanwhile, Rosalie had arrived at Heronial Corporation’s entrance.

Xander had informed Director Spiros they were coming. Thus, Director Spiros was already waiting for them at the door.

“Hello, Young Master Xander, Dr. Jacobs.” when they arrived, Director Spiros greeted them humbly and even bowed.

Rosalie was surprised to see Director Spiros’ change in attitude.

They last met at the signing ceremony between Heronial Corporation and Lancer Corporation.

She remembered that Director Spiros was not that respectful toward her and only treated her the same as he treated Lancer Corporation. He was professional and neither humble nor arrogant when dealing with them.

However, his attitude changed drastically because of what happened last night.

“Is everything ready?” Xander greeted Director Spiros with a nod and asked coldly.

If they saw this, others would have misunderstood Xander as Director Spiros’ boss.

Director Spiros, however, was not annoyed. Instead, he replied cooperatively, “Everything is ready. All you have to do is sign a form and you can take away those things.”

Then, he looked at Xander gratefully and said, “Thank you, Young Master Xander. Don’t worry. If Heronial Corporation can survive the situation, I’ll listen to everything you ask me to do.”
