Chapter 277
Daddy’s Doting Addiction
Chapter 277
âMr. Hough, why didnât Miss Green come?â
Before Dave finished his words, Jackâs face immediately darkened, and he said coldly, âWhy would a
married man like Mister Dean care so much about her?â
âUhâ¦â The Dean familyâs smiles instantly froze on their faces, and they didnât know what to say.
The scene was suddenly awkward. Sean stood behind, feeling very embarrassed. God, why did he have
to be Jackâs assistant? Could he just run away now?
Too bad he couldnât.
Sean held down his 10,000th urge to resign and bravely stood up to smooth things out âExcuse me, our
master is in a bad mood, and he didnât mean to offend Mister Deanâ¦â
Sean smiled bitterly,
âIt doesnât matter. We can understand.â Mister Dean and his wife looked at each other knowingly. The
young couple was quarreling. Theyâd been there too when they were young.
âThen Iâll arrange for lunch.â
Sean gave Dave a grateful look and then ran away quickly.
Dave turned around and looked at Isabella affectionately.
âIsabella, itâs windy here. You should go back first.â
âOkay.â
Jack stood alone, watching Dave thoughtfully accompany Mrs. Dean into the car, feeling even more
irritable.
âAre you here to discuss the collaboration with me, or are you here to show off your relationship with your
wife?â
âHahaha, I can only show off my relationship to people who are still single. You are not single, are you?â
Dave smiled naively. Jackâs eyes turned cold.
âWhat do you mean?â
âHaha, Mr. Hough, understand me. I want to persuade you to quickly clear up the misunderstanding with
Naomi so as to live a happy life.â
Dave twirled his golf club with a smile, talking about his past. âI saw it on the news yesterday, and I think
itâs nothing that cannot be resolved by communication. I donât mean you are not loyal to each other in
your relationships. Itâs just that I hope you donât value your self-esteem over your relationship.â
Dave sighed heavily as he spoke as if thinking of his past. âAt that time, Isabella and I broke up and got
back together many times, and I thought she was cheating on me while she thought I loved someone
else, but in the end, she lost a few children for me and almost died! I could never forgive myself for my
stupidity. She would never have suffered if I had communicated with her about my feelings.â
Daveâs voice choked. The intense remorse in his eyes made Jackâs heart ache. He seldom comforted
other people, but now he did.
âDonât worry, both of you are very happy now.â
ââThis happiness was what we got in return for ten years of pain. If I had rushed into her house decisively
back then and told her about my feelings, I would not have experienced those hardships. Jack, as a
friend of yours, I would advise you to take the initiative. It is our responsibility as men to protect our
women. Youâve got nothing to lose!â
Jack pursed his lips. The next second, he threw away his golf club, turned around, and left.
Dave was stunned.
âMr. Hough, where are you going?â
âGiving her a chance to explain herself!â He strode away without looking back.
ââTsk! So arrogant!â
Dave complained in disgust and lost his cue, and started running.
âItâs boring here. Iâm going to find my wife!â In the hospital corridor, Naomi sniffed, tightened her mask,
and drifted around like a ghost. She didnât expect her cold to come so suddenly and be so severe.
âAhhhh! Hurry up! Hurry up! Itâs too late!â
Suddenly, a group of female doctors and nurses rushed out from the corner of the corridor, running
towards Naomi hurriedly.
