Chapter 66
Daddy’s Doting Addiction
Chapter 66 Susan stood aside with her arms crossed. She shook her head, speechless.
âDonât you guys know about Naomiâs other name? Sheâs Wish. Can none of you tell right from wrong?
You simply accuse others without proof. The victim turned out to be the real genius. How ridiculous!â
âNaomi is Wish?â
Wish meant hope. Her other name Wish meant hope. It was her late mother, Rachel, who had given her
her nickname.
The crowd was in complete shock, but they trusted Susanâs credibility. Besides, the exam committee on
stage had successfully verified Naomiâs identity and allowed her to take the entrance exam. Johnson
stared at Naomi furiously. Suddenly, his phone buzzed. Johnson glanced at the message and
immediately left the hall with a viscous, scheming smile. Meanwhile, on the stage, the team of examiners
and ViceâChancellor from the Royal Medical School showed a little more caution with their expressions.
âMiss Naomi, we will be more strict when conducting our exam because of what has just happened.â âNo
problem!â Naomi, filled with confidence, smiled and stood in front of the audience. There was no need for
her to worry about her thesis as she knew that her content was strong and factual. She had also
prepared plenty of examples and explained them in laymanâs te All the students in the audience
understood her speech and gave her a thunderous appla âYour thesis is the strongest Iâve heard
amongst all the high schoolers.... No, itâs strongest even amongst the undergraduates. However...â Viceâ
Chancellor nodded with relief on his face, but he immediately changed the tone of his voice. âOur
entrance exam isnât just about theories on paper. Now, please, diagnose Mister Craig and give us your
opinion on his health.â âWhat? Diagnose the countryâs best doctor?â âWonât she make a fool of herself?
Now hereâs a good show to watch!â The teachers and students on the ground were whispering in
excitement. The examiners on stage were waiting to see how Naomi would perform. They had high
expectations of her. Naomiâs real capability would be proven with the practical exam. âAlright.â
Naomi showed no fear in her eyes. She nodded calmly and walked to Ansel Craig. âMister Craig, please
give me your hand.â Ansel stretched his hand cooperatively and looked at her with a kind smile.
âChild, you have to be careful. Iâm definitely not someone who would cover for someone elseâs mistake.â
âOkay!â Naomi completed the diagnosis for Ansel during the short conversation. She frowned after
learning of his health condition. âWhatâs wrong? Does she really know the answer?â âHasnât she always
been weak when it came to her studies? Now, I guess she canât pretend anymore.â
The crowd noticed her strange expression. Soon, their murmurs grew louder. Meanwhile, the faces of the
group of examiners on stage grew solemn. âIf you know a thing or two, itâll do.â Ansel thought Naomi was
nervous and even gave her a few words of encouragement. âThen I shall be bold and straightforward!â
Naomi looked up at Ansel with a sad look on her face. She felt pity for him. âMister Craig... You have an
incurable disease!â Everyoneâs faces changed upon hearing her answer. âThatâs impossible! Mister Craig
is a great doctor himself. How could he allow himself to fall
i
il/?â
âNaomi, canât you come up with a better lie? Your mistake is far worse than your sisterâs!â The crowd was
furious. The ViceâChancellorâs face turned extremely gloomy too. Just as he was about to speak, Ansel
waved his hand lightly. âSheâs right. I didnât plan to tell anyone of this. Unfortunately, this young lady is
rather accurate with her diagnosis. She could easily tell by reading my pulse.â
âWhat? Naomi was right?!â
Chaos broke out. A few of the examiners stepped up and took a reading of Anselâs pulse to see if she
had been accurate in her diagnosis. They concluded that she was right!
At once, the atmosphere grew solemn, and everyone was drowned with sadness.
They suddenly heard a loud and clear voice break the gloomy atmosphere. âDonât worry. I have a
remedy for this!â
âWhat did you say? Can you treat him?â asked the ViceâChancellor. His eyes were filled with doubt.
