Chapter 74
Daddy’s Doting Addiction
Chapter 74 Naomi shot a meaningful look at Scott as she turned and walked down the stairs.
Upstairs, Lilian watched Naomiâs back with a hateful glare.
âWeâre going too easy on her by letting her walk away like this!â Clarissaâs face twisted into a sinister
smile as she replied, âDo you really think that Iâll let her get away so easily?â âWhat do you mean?â Lilian
asked as she glanced curiously at her daughter. âWhy did you think I went through the trouble of bringing
back Mrs. Ford?â âDonât tell me... In the chicken soup?â âOf course!â Clarissa cackled wickedly.
Naomi walked out of the mansion. She was about to step onto the street when she felt a . sudden pang
of dizziness. Her entire body started to ache and weaken. âWhatâs happening?â
She managed to drag herself to the nearest bus stop, all the while checking her own pulse and pulling
out a silver needle. The pulse she felt from her wrist made her face change. She could not believe she
was... âHow is that possible? Could it be...â Naomi instantly remembered the bowl of chicken soup and
Mrs. Fordâs strangely remorseful gaze as she left the room.
Screech!
At that moment, a black van came to a halt in front of Naomi. A group of muscular men got out of the
vehicle and approached Naomi with rucksacks in their hands.
âWho are you?!â Naomi yelled as she put her guard up at the bus stop.
â
The men remained silent. They charged at her and began to attack her.
All Naomi could do was grit her teeth and try to evade the menâs punches behind the bus stopâs
signboard.
The men were clearly professionals and not ordinary punks! Under normal circumstances, she would
have been able to escape them. Then, however, she barely had any strength left in her body.
Damn! That was surely Clarissaâs evil plan!
Naomi lost consciousness within a few minutes. The men wrapped her up in a rucksack and tossed her
into the black van.
The redâheaded group leader picked up his phone and dialed Clarissaâs number. Clarissaâs voice came
through the phoneâs speakers. âIs it done?â âWe got her! Lucky for us, you drugged her beforehand.
Otherwise, we wouldâve had a tough time dealing with her,â replied the redâheaded man as he aimed a
hard kick at the rucksack.
âHmph! You can take turns with her later. Just make sure you send me a good quality video after. I want
the world to see her as a wh*re!â Clarissaâs voice was borderline insane, making the redâheaded man
click his tongue. âOh? Do you want us to go that far? Arenât you sisters?â âSisters? I want her ruined! She
will spend the rest of her life in shame!â Clarissa let out a chilling, manic laugh.
Andrea failed her, but she was prepared this time. Naomi Green was going straight to hell! The redâ
headed man hung up the phone, then glanced menacingly at his men. âDrive us out to the outskirts. We
have a fun night ahead of us!â The black van drove off and left behind nothing but Naomiâs broken
umbrella lying in the rain.
That evening, the rain at Tarragon Bay poured heavily. A car drove towards the entrance of the
apartment building. Before it came to a complete stop, Jack stepped out and rushed indoors. âWait up,
sir!â Sean exclaimed as he frantically exited the vehicle. He held a large bag of gifts from Royal City in
one arm and an umbrella for Jack in the other. âYouâre too slow!â Jack replied as he shot Sean an
impatient glare, then sped up. âIâm going as fast as I can. Youâre the one whoâs too excited to see Miss
Naomi. You even brought her all these souvenirs from Royal City,â Sean responded. âI heard theyâre
shorthanded overseas. Are you interested?â Jack asked coldly as he slowed down his pace.
âNo! Absolutely not!â Sean replied, immediately shut his mouth as he passed the gifts to Jack.
Jackâs face was calm as he stepped into the elevator, but his eyes were dead set on the floor indicator
lights.
He had walked out on a sour note last time. As his wife, even if just in name, Naomi showed no sign of
concern for him. Even so, he decided to be the bigger person and came back with gifts for her.
The thought of the childâlike happiness on Naomiâs face awaiting him made Jackâs stoney face soften.
Once he stepped out of the elevator, Jack swiftly opened the door, and the smile on his face
instantly disappeared.
