Alpha 205
Taking Alpha's Twins Away After Divorce
I shut my eyes and turned my head away from the screen. I told myself that this was not the time to
think about the desire.
âWhy⦠you?â
Her confused voice rang in my ears again. I opened my eyes and turned to look at the
screen.
She had already fixed her clothes. Her hair also covered her chest area from both
sides.
My mind returned to our early encounter. I could not quite get the way she left with Max Harrison
out of my head.
âWhat did you think? You can talk to my kids without my permission, and I will keep letting you do
that?â
She gulped and shook her head. âI can only request you. Please, Adrian. This is the only way for
me to contact them. Donât disconnect them from me.â
Her VCS M
were heavy with tiredness. I stared at her for a while. I did not want her to know that I was the one
who let the children get in touch with her.
I shifted my gaze away from her and took out a cigarette packet from my pocket.
âAre you smoking in your childrenâs room, Alpha? Where are your manners?â She spoke angrily.
I glanced at her with a frown. I lit the cigarette while looking at her, then puffed on
the smoke.
I blew it out of my mouth and asked,
âWhat is your connection with Max Harrison?â
Her brows lifted as if she did not expect me to ask him that.
âExcuse me?â
âNo, I canât excuse you.â
âAdrian Miller, you donât have any right to know about it.â
I raised a brow and nodded my head. âOkay, then donât call your kids again.â
While saying that, I pretended to cut the call.
Her eyes widened in shock. âNo, no. Wait!â
I scoffed at her. âDone pretending arrogant? Now tell me the truth.â
âYou are the most arrogant man I have ever seen in my life.â
âNow, will you?â
I was getting impatient. I wanted to know why she left with him. It made me feel awkward to see her
with him.
She heaved a sigh in defeat and replied,
âHe is my friend. Harold told me that only he could save Jason. So I convinced him to help my
brother.â
My eyes fixed on her. Her voice shook slightly as she spoke about her brother.
âSo he will heal your brother.â
âYeah.â
My heart was suddenly filled with relief. The burden that sat on my heart began to move slowly.
I was trying to calm myself all these times. But who knew that just looking at this woman would put
my mind at ease?
I wondered how much power she had held over me.
âI told you everything. Now, donât take the phone and tab away from them.â
I rolled my eyes and replied, âI wasnât taking it away from them anyway.â
She parted her lips in shock. âSo you lied to me to get the answer you wanted!â
I could not help but chuckle. She had a cute, angry look on her face. I felt good talking to her like
that.
âI hate you, Adrian.â
âGood, keep hating me.â
âI will. I am cutting that call.â
âWait.â
She paused and looked at me. âWhat?â
âYou know I am planning a party for their fifth birthday. I want to surprise them.â
Her rage lessened slightly. It seemed like she loved the children the most.
I waited to see her reaction as I said,
âI want you to come to their birthday party and surprise them.â
