Chapter 44
Love The Game
After the game Sara wanted to celebrate. There was going to be a celebration party at Kristinas and Sara said we just a had to go. I'm not really a party person, I don't drink or smoke, but I was in the mood to celebrate so I said what the hell. I went back to my house to shower and change and so did Sara. I texted Ollie asking if he was going to the party. He just texted back "Hell yeah dude." I just laughed. I texted Kris and asked if she was going to go. She text back maybe. I had no doubt that I would see her there. It was only 10 o'clock and the party didn't really start until 11:30, 12. Since I had time I decided to just get dressed fast and bug Sara while she got dressed. I put on some ripped black jeans and a maroon crop top hoodie shirt thing. I didn't feel like getting all dressed up. I just put on a little make up with some eyeliner. As I was about to walk out the door I realized I was going to have to be at a party with a bunch of drunk idiots. Great. I got in my car and drove over to Saras. When I got there I texted her 'here'. She was still in the shower so she texted me to just come in. So I did. I walked up the stairs to go to Saras room. I laid on her bed and waited for her to get out. She took about a million years. It was already 10:56 by the time she got out, but its okay I wasn't in any hurry. When she came out her sandy blonde hair was wet and she was wrapped in a towel.
"Thats a good look for you babe. You should wear it more often." I teased.
"Haha very funny." She retorted. I just laughed and spread out across her bed. J
"Well you look like you tried very hard to impress." She said referring to my overly casual appearance.
"Hey you're the hot one in this relationship." I said winking at her.
"You're full of it." She said looking through her closet for something to wear.
"Do we have to go?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.
"Do you not want to go?" She asked turning around.
"I'm just not a party type of person. But I know you want to go." I said staring up at the ceiling.
"How about this, we go just for a little while and as soon as you get annoyed or bored we leave. Sound good?" She asked. I loved that she took my feelings into consideration with everything. She really was perfect.
"Okay deal." I said. I sat and waited for her to finish getting ready. After about 10 minutes I realized that I hadn't eaten since before the game.
"Hey I'm hungry." I said as she was slipping into some skin tight jeans.
"I think there are some left over pork chops that my mom made last night in the fridge. You can go heat them up." I stayed on the bed and started at the ceiling some more. Sara just groaned.
"You're such a baby. Come on lets go." She threw on a t-shirt and we started down to the kitchen.
"Thanks baby love you." I grinned as we were going down the stairs.
"Mhm." Was all she said.
In the kitchen Sara grabbed the plate out of the fridge and put it in the microwave. She then hoisted herself up onto the counter. As the microwave counted down I just stared at Sara. She gave me a funny look.
"What?" She asked. Her wet hair was falling around her shoulders making her shirt wet.
"Nothing. I just like looking at you." I said making my way over to her. She wrapped her legs around me and leaned down to kiss me.
"You're full of shit." She said smiling against my lips. At that moment the microwave started beeping telling us that my food was ready. I jumped a bit then headed straight for the microwave, leaving Sara kissing the air. I took the plate out of the microwave and burned myself a bit but set it down on the counter and grabbed a fork out the drawer directly under Sara.
"Well someones hurry." Sara said sort of sarcastically.
"I haven't eaten since lunch." I said choking down the pork chop and mashed potatoes on the plate.
"The last time you ate was at 12:30?" Sara said in shock.
"You know I can't eat before games." I said with my mouth full.
Sara just jumped down and wrapped her arms around my waist, hugging me from behind. She kissed my neck and we just stood like that for a minute. When I finished my food I rinsed off my plate and set it down in the sink. I followed Sara back up the stairs. I liked watching her ass move as she walked up the stairs. When we got back to the room I laid on Saras bed and waited for her to finish getting ready. I watched as she changed out of her t-shirt then as she started doing her makeup. I watched until I fell asleep.

Sara's POV
When we got back up to my room Avery just laid down on the bed. As soon as she laid down I knew she was going to fall asleep. She wears herself out trying to take care of everyone else. Whether it's me, Kris, her family, even Ollie and Kara. I went to the bathroom to finish doing my hair and makeup, I didn't want to wake her up. When I came back Avery was still asleep. She had played so hard today. I know that all she wanted was for us to win. Whether it was for herself or for us I don't know. I watched as her dark brown hair spread out across the bed. She was in the same position she always slept in. One leg bent the other straight and one hand over her stomach. I watched as her chest kept rising and falling. She looked so peaceful. I didn't want to wake her up.
It was already 11:30 and Sophie was blowing up my phone asking me where I was. I looked down at Ave. I text Sophie back that we'd be there soon. I sat on the bed next to Avery. I couldn't help myself so I ran my hand through her long dark hair. Her eyes flittered just a bit. I leaned down and kissed her forehead. At this she opened her eyes and pulled me in with her hand around the back of my neck. I loved when she kissed me. I could feel just how much she really loved me. When I pulled back I said
"Its already 11:36. You wanna go?" She just nodded her head and started getting up.
"Avery?" I said.
"Yeah?" She asked turning around to face me.
"I love you." I smiled. She just ran her fingers through her hair and smiled the smile I love.
"I love you too baby girl." She said extending her hand for me to take. I walked towards her and grabbed her hand; and with that we were off to the party.
