Chapter 2281
My Wife is a Hacker
âHi, Aunt June!â Nolan and Lana greeted as they saw June walking into the room.
June was taken by surprise to see the little kids call her an aunt. The greeting had rendered her completely speechless.
âAunt June! Are you not going to invite us in?â Lana asked, batting her eyelashes innocently.
It was only then that June snapped back to her senses, and clumsily invited them in, âYeah, erm, come in.â
Then, Tia led both Nolan and Lana into the house where the twins obediently went on to greet everyone who was present.
âCome and let me see you guys. I missed you guys so much! â Samuel exclaimed, missing them as he had not seen the twins for several days now.
Nolan took a glance at Samuelâs cast and asked, âUncle Samuel, does it hurt a lot?â
âIt doesnât hurt anymore now that I get to see you guys,â Samuel replied with a smile on his face.
âCan you get married now since it doesnât hurt anymore, Uncle Samuel? Can I be the flower girl?â Lana raised her eyebrows as she bombarded Samuel with questions.
Awkwardness filled the room at once, before Samuel burst out laughing.
âLana, I canât make that decision. Why donât you go ask your Aunt June?â Samuel said, and ushered Lana over to June.
Juneâs face was as bright as a tomato after she had heard Samuelâs words.
âAunt June, if you donât mindâ¦can I be your flower girl at your wedding?â Lana asked June with a solemn look on her face.
In return, the corners of Juneâs lips twitched. âHow can I give her an answer right now? Should I agree to it or not? I mean, itâs not a question of whether she becomes the flower girl or notâ¦but marriage just isnât in the cards for me just yet.â
June glanced at Lanaâs eager look before mustering a hesitant reply. âI can promise you that when I do get married, I will definitely ask you to be my flower girl, okay?â
âAunt June, do you not like our Uncle Samuel?â Lana asked.
She had noticed that June had not wholeheartedly agreed to her offer.
The people around the room were now stifling their laughter. In the meantime, June was bright red in embarrassment, flustered and not knowing how to respond to Lanaâs question.
âLana.â Samuel called out, diverting Lanaâs attention as he realized that June was now blushing.
âI must stop this brat from scaring June. Otherwise, she might really frighten her off.â
âUncle Samuel.â Lana turned around. âUncle Samuel? Donât be discouraged, okay? You must keep going!â
Samuel was torn between tears and laughter as he found himself being comforted by his niece.
âCome and have some fruits!â Tia walked over with a large tray of fruits.
âThanks for bringing us fruits! And you even cut them for us!? â June exclaimed as she thanked Tia.
âItâs nothing. I noticed that they were good, so I brought some over,â Tia remarked as she placed the tray down on the table.
Everyone then grabbed a piece as they sat on the couch and chatted away.
Stanley noticed Tia was standing at the corner alone, so he said, âCome sit with us.â
Then, he patted the seat next to him, signaling Tia to come over and occupy it.
âThank you, Mr. Riddle,â Tia politely said before sitting down.
