Chapter 2350
My Wife is a Hacker
âMe?!â Jamesâ eyes bulged out. He had not seen this coming.
âYes. Since youâre not at the center of attention, leaving this job to you should be better. Itâd be difficult for anyone to find out.â
It was there and then that Dillon realized the use of James in the family after Preston refused to join Dill Corp and with Snow being a complete idiot being head over heels with someone out of her league.
Raine was Dillonâs last and only hope to continue the company.
âIf James could help, it would be better than doing this alone.â
Raine did not give James any time to consider. She quickly agreed on his behalf. Ã think itâs doable.â
Raine knew that if this matter were to be left in Jamesâ hands, it would be much better. After all, the future of the company would be in their hands.
James gave a look of satisfaction to Raine. He could only nod along with Raineâs decision, to move on without arousing suspicion.
âIn that case, Iâll leave this to you. DillCorpâs future will be in your hands. When I retire, I can safely entrust this to you two.â Dillon nodded as if he trusted them both.
âDonât worry about it. Weâll make sure everything works out just fine.â Raine and James nodded simultaneously.
âIf you have anything, just tell US. Weâll do our best to get it done.â
Dillon nodded his head in agreement. âLetâs do this one by one. Letâs save the company first before we expand for the future.â
Raine and James synchronized with one another, replying, âOkay.â
Both left the room shortly after. Raine turned to look at James with a smile I âWeâre so lucky to have you. Now that we have his trust, the future of DillCorp will be in our hands.â âI believe we can do it. Itâs all thanks to your hard work!â James looked at Raine dotingly.
Raine smiled shyly, âItâs all your hard work too.â âYou can do well even with or without me,â said James modestly.
Flirtatiously, Raine said, âNo. Weâre a team and weâll be together, always.â
Raine did not like James before. However now that she had seen how useful James was, it had become an asset to her. Her ultimate secret weapon.
James nodded happily.
Raine smiled as she walked toward her office. On the side she did not realize Jamesâ expression had changed. A look of disgust appeared on his face.
âWhen I get my hands on everything, I can do whatever I like. I can ditch this bitch once and for all,â
thought James to himself.
As the sun was setting, the slanting rays of the sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky. The streets were bustling with people rushing to get home after work.
Nicole had just walked out of the office building when she saw Lulu standing on the curb of the road, anxiety was written all over her face.
âLulu, why havenât you left?â Nicole called out to Lulu.
âSpencer hasnât arrived yet. I tried calling his phone but there was no answer.â Lulu sighed. She kept glancing at the busy road to catch a glimpse of Spencer, her eyes were full of worry.
Spencer had promised to pick her up from work. However, Lulu had been waiting for him for a while now. He had not arrived and was unreachable.
âDid something happen to him?â thought Lulu.
Nicole frowned. âI donât think him being held back by something would cause him to be unreachable.â
