Chapter 2659
My Wife is a Hacker
âTheyâre used to Tia bringing them to school, so thereâs no doubt theyâre dependent on her.â Martin smiled and approached Tiaâs bedside.
âHow are you feeling?â âI feel much better now.
I could be discharged tomorrow,â Tia replied.
âMay I ask who this is?â Cherry found Martin familiar, but she just could not recognize him.
âHis name is Martin, and heâs in the medical profession,â Tia introduced.
She did not mention Martinâs background as he did not like to brag about it outside.
âHer name is Cherry, Stanleyâsâ¦â Tia paused and changed what she was going to say.
âSheâs Stanleyâs friend.â Tia originally wanted to say Cherry was Stanleyâs girlfriend, but Tia did not know if Stanley wanted to make the information public, so she paused before saying it out loud.
âHi.â Cherry instantly remembered when she heard Martinâs name, but she played along and did not expose his hidden identity.
âHi there,â Martin responded, looking at Stanley meaningfully.
Noticing Tiaâs pause, Martin analyzed that even if Cherry were not Stanleyâs girlfriend, Cherry would not be Stanleyâs normal colleague either.
It was the first time Martin saw a girl together with Stanley.
Martin had no interest in identifying the relationship between Stanley and Cherry.
He was just curious since Stanley used to take good care of Tia.
Martin wondered if it was just pure concern for Tia.
Cherry was also silently eyeing Martin.
âTia called him by his name.
What relationship do they have? Tia seemed to give him special treatment and called his name.â âMs.
Jean, thank you so much for visiting me.
Actually, I feel all better now,â Tia thanked.
Snapping back to reality, Cherry chuckled.
âDonât sweat it.
Weâre friends after all.â She then placed a fruit basket on Tiaâs bedside.
âHere you go, a little something for you.â âThank you.â âOne more thank you, and weâre not friends anymore,â said Cherry, acting angry.
Tia replied uneasily, âThatâs not what I meant, Ms. Jean.â âOh, come on.
Stop calling me Ms. Jean, call me Cherry instead.â Cherry laughed.
âThatâs what my friends call me.â Nicole saw through Cherryâs every move and she kind of liked her personality.
âWell, thisâ¦â Tia trailed off.
âIf Cherry turned out to be Stanleyâs girlfriend, it wouldnât be right for me to call her by her name directly.â âWhy the hesitation? Do you not like me?â Cherry asked seriously.
If so, she would not force Tia to be friends.
âOh, thatâs not it.
I just thought since youâre Sir Stanleyâs friend, I should-â Before Tia could finish, Cherry interrupted, âCome on.
If this is the reason, you donât have to worry about it.
Not to mention, someone hates it when you call him that, more so than me.â âHuh?â Tia did not understand Cherryâs underlying meaning and looked at her in confusion.
Stanley, on the other hand, understood instantly and stopped Cherry.
âItâs about time.
Iâll see you out.â âYouâre taking care of her tonight?â Cherry teased meaningfully, raising her eyebrow.
âMs. Jean, donât get him wrong.
Sir Stanley isnât-â Knowing Tia was going to explain, Stanley interrupted, âYes, Iâm staying back tonight.â Cherry said complacently, with her eyebrow raised.
âThen I wonât bother you guys further.â Bidding farewell to everyone, Cherry gladly started to leave.
She called out to Stanley, âWell, Iâll be troubling you to see me out then.â âNo problem.
Come on,â Stanley said.
Then he left with Cherry.
