Chapter 2692
My Wife is a Hacker
âYouâre welcome.
The family then broke out laughing, as they could not help but to be amused by the kidsâ cuteness.
After breakfast, everyone gathered in the living room. Nolan and Lana, in particular, were overjoyed when they received their gifts.
June and Lulu then joined in and began giving the gifts to everyone there, except for a few of those who were not present.
âNicole, are you going to the office now?â Lulu asked Nicole.
âYeah, after I send Nolan and Lana to school, Iâll head over,â Nicole replied.
Lulu nodded. âAlright, Iâll start moving with Spencer now. See you at the office.â
âSure. See you later!â Nicole said, and watched as the couple exited the house.
Then, she turned to Gloria and Daniel. âMom, Dad, weâll be heading out as well.â
âGo ahead.â Gloria and Daniel replied and smiled.
âBye, Grandma and Grandpa,â Nolan and Lana said, and left with Nicole and Jared.
Gloria and Danielâs grins became even wider as they observed the antics of their little grandchildren.
âMom, Dad, weâre leaving too.â Samuel and June followed suit upon noticing everyone else was leaving.
June was carrying a huge bag. It was obviously filled with gifts which she had prepared for her colleagues.
After everyone had left, Gloria sighed. âItâs great to have the kids around again.
The house feels a lot livelier.â
Knowing that Gloria was worried for each of their kids, Daniel said, âDonât get too worked up. Stanley will be able to return home soon. When that happens, youâll be able to let go of your worries.â
âI really hope that the kids will always be safe. That is my only wish.â Gloria sighed.
Holding Gloriaâs hands, Daniel replied, âThey will be safe.â
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Tia and Stanley had just eaten their breakfast.
All of a sudden, they heard a knock, and that was when Tia answered the door.
âMiss Jean. Youâre here.â
Seeing that it was Cherry, Tia stepped aside and let her in.
Cherry, however, was unhappy. âIâve said it many times, and Iâll say it again.
Canât you just refer to me as Cherry?â
Every time Tia called her Miss Jean, it made them seem distant.
Feeling nervous, Tia replied, âOh, Iâve forgotten about it. Iâll do so next time.â
âHow could you forget about it? You donât really see me as a friend, do you?â
Cherry stared at Tia. âCall me by my name now. Otherwise, youâll forget again the next time.â
âCherry.â Tia said, calling her by her first name.
Cherry became satisfied upon hearing that. After she entered, she went up to Stanleyâs bedside.
With a glance, she said, âYou seem fine now. I guess youâll be discharged soon.â
âIâm almost there. Perhaps, Iâll be able to get out of here tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.â Stanley replied.
As for when he would actually be discharged, it would depend on the results from his upcoming medical examination.
âThe reason why you could recover this quickly is all thanks to Tiaâs exceptional care. When youâre discharged, you should thank her properly.â Cherry looked at Stanley and said.
Stanley became uncomfortable, so he gritted his teeth and replied, âYeah.â
Not expecting Stanley to agree with Cherry, Tia quickly explained, âItâs fine.
Youâve helped me before this. Itâs my duty to take care of you now.â
âHey, how could these two things be considered the same? You took care of him exceptionally well.â
Cherry immediately pulled Tia aside and persuaded her with a wide smile on her face.
