Chapter 2752
My Wife is a Hacker
After returning the smile, Nicole asked, âSo, you invited me here to ask me about something?â
âYeah. I actually would like to learn from you,â Cindyâs cheeks flushed as she coyly said.
âLearn from me?â Nicole frowned. âWhat does Cindy even want to learn?â
Lulu was also stunned. She repeatedly blinked at Nicole, trying to understand what Cindy was talking about.
Nicole shook her head as she did not know what Cindy was really after.
Cindy then continued, âMartin likes you very much, so I would like to know what I can do to touch his heart.â
She was hoping that Nicole would be able to impart some tips and tricks. That way, Martin would fall for her.
Nicole furrowed her brows upon hearing that. âHow do I even teach someone something like this? I didnât manipulate Martin into falling in love with me.â
Luluâs jaw was left hanging, after which she frowned and curtly asked, âWhat are you trying to say? Are you implying that Nicole seduced Martin into liking her?â
Cindyâs face turned pale as soon as she heard the response she had garnered. âIâm sorry. That was not what I meant.â
Cindy could tell that Lulu and Nicole had misunderstood her request, and she realized there and then that she might have phrased her question terribly.
Thus, to clear the air, she quickly explained, âWhat I meant was that the both of you know Martin better.
What should I do to become a potential partner for him?â
âAh, that is so much better.â Lulu replied with a laugh.Books Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updatesâ¦
âIâm sorry. I phrased my question horribly. Hereâs the thing. I really like Martin, and I donât want to lose him.â Cindy bit her lips and said dejectedly.
âBut what if you still fail even after weâve helped you?â Lulu asked in concern.
After all, no one could guarantee success, as Martin would have to accept Cindy for it to work.
âIf thatâs the case, itâll be fine.â Cindy replied firmly. âAt least I tried.â
If she still failed after trying, Cindy would just accept her fate. It would just prove that Martin was not her soulmate. She would, however, come to regret it if she did not put in the effort to win him over.
âYou came to San Joto because of him, right?â Nicole assumed, sounding as if she could read Cindyâs mind.
By the second meeting, she had already guessed the reason as to why Cindy had come to San Joto:
she wanted to become Martinâs partner and run a research lab together with him.
In fact, she did all that just so that she could spend more time with Martin. Cindy was just trying to create more opportunities to bond with one another.
Cindy was blushing as she replied, âYes, itâs because of him.â
âThatâs not a bad idea. Being in close proximity gives you the upper hand. Weâve got your back. Well, you seem pretty nice, so I guess we can consider you a friend too.â Lulu patted Cindy on the shoulder.
âFor real?â Cindy asked, taken aback.
From the day she moved to San Joto, she had not made a single friend. If she was not hanging out with Martin in the lab, she would constantly be on her own in her apartment. This had made her very isolated and lonely. Otherwise, she would not have forced herself to meet Nicole.
All things considered, Cindy was a lot more familiar with Nicole as compared to the others, although they had only met once.
âThank you.â Cindyâs eyes welled up, for she had finally found company.
âAlright, letâs eat first. As for what you requested, weâll tell you about Martinâs preferences first. As for the rest, Iâd advise you to take it slow. Although youâve got the upper hand, things would still have to progress gradually for feelings between the both of you to develop,â Lulu said as if she was a relationship expert.
âAlright, letâs dig in. Weâll talk while we eat.â Cindy became excited at the mention of Martin.
The ladies had a fun and merry lunch thereafter, filled with nothing but laughter and incessant chatter.
Even when the meal had ended, they were reluctant to part ways, âI can still hit you both up, right?â Cindy asked.
