Chapter 2761
My Wife is a Hacker
Since Harvey had given them the chance to bring him down, they would just seize it. It would be stupid not to.
After careful consideration, Nicole smirked and said, âWell, that works.â
âIâll get on it then!â Lulu beamed excitedly, ready to do something big.
And to that, Nicole chuckled and nodded in agreement,â Right. Iâll leave it to you.â
Since Lulu had taken charge of any dealings with the Ellison Group, Nicole had faith that she would be able handle it well.
âIâll be on my way, then,â Lulu responded, and began humming a cheerful tune as she left.
After giving Luluâs figure a smile, Nicole got busy and flipped through the documents on the desk to peruse them.
About an hour later, she heard a knock on a door.
âCome in,â Nicole said without looking up, as she was focused on her work.
It was Patricia, who then opened the door and walked up to Nicoleâs desk. âMs.
Riddle? There are updates pertaining to Damien.â
Upon hearing that, Nicole immediately looked up. âHas he finally decided not to lock himself in?â âOur men who have been following him around discovered that he goes out every morning to a cafe for breakfast.
Although nothing seems amiss, his behavior sure is a little strange,â Patricia explained.
âGoing to the same cafe every day does seem unusual.â Nicole squinted. âHe used to avoid going out altogether, and now heâs visiting the same location over and overâ¦â âWe suspect heâs meeting someone, but weâve found nothing suspicious, even after weâve conducted a thorough investigation of the area.â Patricia frowned. âI donât know if the other person heâs meeting is particularly secretive, or if he simply hasnât made an appearance yet.â
âDonât worry. They wonât be hiding forever.â Nicoleâs eyes darkened.
Upon hearing this, Patricia agreed, âYes, weâll continue to tail and monitor him.â
âOkay,â Nicole replied and waved, signaling that Patricia could leave now.
And once Patricia was gone, Nicole resumed her work.
Noon arrived before long, and as expected, the door to the office opened.
Then, Lulu poked her head in and reminded, âNicole, itâs lunchtime.â
âOh, okay.â Nicole stood up, but just as she did, her phone rang.
Seeing that it was a call from Jared, she answered it. âHello, whatâs up?â
âIâm waiting for you downstairs. Letâs have lunch together.â Jared gently replied.
âYouâre downstairs?!â Nicole was surprised. Why is he here?â Having heard the exchange between the two lovebirds, Lulu chuckled and teased, âSeems like someone important is expecting you. I guess I better not get in his way, then.â
Right after she had left Nicole that remark, Lulu closed the door and sauntered off.
Nicole could not help but shake her head in amusement. âIâll be right there with you.
And after hanging up, she made her way to the first floor and got into the car.
âWhy are you here?â Nicole asked, her brows raised.
âItâs lunchtime, and I thought I should come over to have a meal with you.â Jared gently held Nicoleâs hand. âYou may start driving, Max.â
âYes, sirâ Max replied, and drove them to the restaurant.
Though lunch hour was already at its peak by the time they arrived, the place they had selected were neither too crowded nor noisy. Still, Nicole and Jared, who valued their privacy, had opted to take a seat at a corner before ordering their meals.
