Chapter 2839
My Wife is a Hacker
Nicole could not help but feel that something was off with Stanley today. She was wondering if he had made any progress with Tia, who showed up as the thought crossed her mind.
Noticing footfalls in the living room, everyone stopped and looked back to see Tia approaching them.
âHave you eaten your breakfast?â
âYes, thanks for asking. Iâm here to pick the kids up,â Tia replied.
âYouâre here early today, so I figured you might have skipped breakfast,â Gloria said. âTheyâre still eating, so youâll have to wait for a while longer. Come over and have a seat, please.â
âOh, alright,â Tia responded, not knowing where to put herself.
Her relationship with Stanley had indeed changed overnight. Right now, she was plagued by feelings of uncertainty about how to best interact with the Riddle family moving forward, as neither she nor Stanley had informed others about the most recent development in their relationship.
âStanley, itâs been a while since you promised to tell me about your girlfriend,â Gloria complained.
She was irked by the fact that Stanley had not kept his promise. To this day, Gloria had still not seen his so-called â girlfriendâ.
âMom, I do have a girlfriend. Please just give me one more week. Iâll surely bring her to you,â Stanley pleaded.
âWhat are you even up to, getting all mysterious? Donât beat around the bush!â Gloria warned.
âI wonât, thereâs no point in doing that. Youâll know when I bring her home,â Stanley promised.
âOkay then. Iâll grant you another week. But mark my words. Youâll know the consequences of lying to me, young man,â Gloria warned before she piped down and stopped pursuing any further.
Stanley eased up and glanced over at Tiaâs direction. He figured one more week was all he needed.Books Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updatesâ¦
âWeâre done,â Nolan and Lana announced, whereupon they exited the dining room and approached Tia.
After slinging their bags on their backs, the kids grabbed Tiaâs hand. âLetâs go, Tia.â
âOh, yeah. Come on then,â Tia said, leaving with the kids.
âIâm done as well,â Stanley said, and hurried out of the dining hall.
âHey, you didnât even eat much,â Gloria shouted at Stanley, but he was long gone by then.
Nicole could only smile at the thought of Stanley running off to catch up with Tia.
âWeâre done too,â Nicole informed upon noticing Jared was done eating his breakfast.
âOh, youâre moving as well?â Daniel asked.
âYep, weâre heading off to work,â Nicole said and left.
The house instantly fell silent, causing Gloria to let out a sigh, âJust like that, theyâre all gone.â
Daniel, however, began chuckling at how out-of-place her sadness was. âArenât you going somewhere later?â
Gloria would be making her way to her brotherâs house later to help him out with something. Even if the kids were at home today, Gloria would not be.
âIâm just being sentimental. The kids will leave one day when theyâre all grown up,â Gloria replied, shaking her head.
âIf so, why donât you stop rushing Stanley into marriage?â Daniel teased.
Gloria was repulsed by the idea, and that was when she argued, âI didnât mean it like that. The kids will all eventually have their own families. We wonât be with them forever.â
âHahaha,â Daniel laughed. âYou just tend to overthink when it comes to the kids.â
âWho will take care of my children if I donât?â Gloria defended.
âYeah, I get it.â Daniel relented. âAnyway, you better eat up. Iâll send you to your brotherâs when you are done.â
Remembering her schedule, Gloria continued her meal with Daniel right beside her.
Meanwhile, Nicole and Jared had already left home and were on the way to their workplaces.
All of a sudden, Nicole heard her phone ringing, and when she saw that Lulu was the one calling her, she answered,â Hey, whatâs up?â
