Chapter 2957
My Wife is a Hacker
Jaredâs expression turned serious as he considered the intricate relationship between Lawrence and Scorpio. Both were subtly using each other to probe and test, neither wanting to be at a disadvantage.
âHe wonât remain silent for long,â Jared commented, a hint of coldness in his voice.
Jared believed that Scorpio, after failing his mission, would inevitably direct his anger toward Lawrence, and Lawrence wouldnât stay hidden indefinitely.
âDo you think Lawrence will take direct action?â Max inquired, his face slightly pale.
Raising an eyebrow, Jared replied coolly, âFrom the moment he took Everett away, he had already made his move.â
Max, somewhat taken aback, respectfully responded, âYes.â
Indeed, Lawrenceâs recent actions, especially his decision to help Everett, indicated a significant shift.
He was now openly positioning himself against Nicoleâs interests.
Jared, with a dismissive gesture, instructed, âRearrange the security at the kindergarten. Ensure protection both inside and outside.â
âIâll handle it immediately,â Max said earnestly, committed to safeguarding Nolan and Lanaâs safety.
âYou may leave now,â Jared commanded, feeling a sense of unease thinking about what Nolan and Lana had endured.
After the conversation, Jared left the office to return home and check on Nolan and Lana.
Meanwhile, as the sun set, Nolan and Lana, having rested throughout the afternoon, were now in a much better mood.
The family gathered in the living room, engaging in lighthearted conversation and laughter as they awaited dinner.
âDad, howâs Grandpa doing?â Nicole asked Daniel, who had just come back.
âHeâs doing well. Dillon and Karen are looking after him,â Daniel replied.
Nicole nodded. âThatâs good to hear.â
It was comforting for everyone to know that Benjamin was well taken care of and had company.
âNolan, Lana, your great-grandpa wants you to visit him when you have the chance,â Daniel said, smiling.
âJust take us with you next time you visit him,â Nolan and Lana eagerly agreed.
Danielâs laughter grew heartier. âOf course, Iâll do that.â
âThe dinner is ready, sir,â the butler announced quietly.
âAlright, letâs have dinner,â Daniel invited everyone.
As the family moved toward the dining room, Stanley joined them. He glanced at Nicole and Jared with inquiring eyes, signaling his awareness of the dayâs events.
Nicole, recognizing Stanleyâs silent questions, calmly suggested, âLetâs eat,â
preferring to avoid any discussion about the kidnapping incident at the dinner table.
Stanley, understanding it wasnât the appropriate time to delve into details, held back his questions.
Although he had heard snippets from Tia, he wasnât fully informed and felt concerned.
Later, after dinner, Stanley found a moment to quietly ask Nicole about the situation. âScorpio made a move, but weâre still gathering evidence,â Nicole explained briefly.
âDoes this mean Nolan and Lana are in danger?â Stanley asked, his concern evident.
Nicole shook her head, reassuring him, âNo, weâve taken measures to ensure their safety.â
They all understood that even at home, absolute safety couldnât be guaranteed.
They couldnât prevent Nolan and Lana from attending kindergarten, but they could do everything in their power to protect them.
âAlright,â Stanley said, his worry still apparent, but trusting in Nicole and Jaredâs vigilance and planning.
