Cadenâs POV
After stuffing our stomachs with some snacks and fruits, we laid out on the blanket to watch the clouds.
Something that I never imagined myself doing but somehow, Iâm looking forward to when next I can to do with Alessia.
Alessia turns on her side, grabbing my attention away from a cloud thatâs weirdly shaped like a limp c o c k. Alessia insists that itâs a normal cloud but I canât stop seeing those sagging balls.
Alessiaâs face stiffen and I shake my head to get rid of the pictures of sagging balls in my mind.
âIs everything ok?â I ask, worried at the shift in her mood.
âHave there been any new on Jude?â She looks at me hopefully and my heart breaks.
âNo,â I shake my head. âWeâve searched everywhere that he could probably be hiding but thereâs still no sign of him.â Iâm taking solace in the fact that the b a S t a r d canât keep on hiding forever.
Eventually, heâs going to need to come up for air and thatâs when Iâll h o o k him and reel him in.
She sighs, looking dejected.
âIâll make sure I find him,â I promise, cupping her face and rubbing her cheek with my thumb. âIâm going to make sure he pays for what he did to us,â I say with vengeance infused in my words.
She nods, giving me a slight smile that doesnât quite reach her eyes. âIâm worried heâs going to attack us when we donât see it coming.â
A very sensible fear.
