Resisting the Alpha Triplets Chapter 6 by Cara Anderson
Resisting the Alpha Triplets
Malloryâs POV
Nathan drove me home after dinner at the pack house. I knew he had a long drive back to his territory so I was pleasantly surprised when I invited him in and he actually agreed. Heâd already gone above and beyond to pick me up at the airport and drive me home.
âDid you enjoy your homecoming dinner, love?â Nathan asked me as we snuggled on the couch together watching a movie.
âMmmhmm,â I hummed blandly. âIt was nice, I guess.â
âYou guess?â he prompted, his way of asking for more information.
âItâs just weird being home again.â I elaborated. âIâm super excited to see mom, of course! And it was great to see Alpha Carl and Luna Erika. Theyâve always been like family to me. But the triplets were acting weird. Iâm almost sure theyâre up to something.â
âWhy do you say that?â Nathan seemed genuinely curious.
âThey were being nice. Theyâre never nice!â I told him, remembering how they used to harrass me. âNot Colton. Heâs been indifferent since he started dating Darcy. But the younger two never missed an opportunity to bully me.â
âHmm, sounds to me like they were smitten with you. Maybe theyâve grown up since you left.â He suggested.
âSmitten?â I snorted. âI doubt it. But even if they were, all they did was make me loathe them.â
âEven if they were, they missed their chance because you, sweetheart, are all mine now.â He professed, pulling me into his lap and capturing my lips in a sweet kiss.
I turned to straddle him, intent on deepening the kiss, when the front door banged open and mom came stumbling in with her arms full of groceries. Nathan immediately jumped up to help her as she thanked him profusely, all while shooting me an apologetic look. I was going to have to get used to the lack of privacy again.
âWhy donât we take a moonlight walk?â I suggested when Nathan returned from helping mom carry the bags to the kitchen.
He took the hint and readily agreed. But as we were walking down the drive, he suddenly spun me around and pinned me against the side of his car, pressing his muscular body into mine.
âWhere were we?â He said in a husky, sensual tone, sending delectable tingles through me.
âRight about here.â I reminded him, threading my fingers through his dark hair and pulling his lips to mine.
Nathan nipped my bottom lip, making me gasp. He slipped his tongue between my parted lips, and the kiss quickly turned heated, exploring and tasting each other completely. Soon, he kicked my feet apart and wedged his leg between mine, pressing against my pussy with his huge thigh muscle. I couldnât help but grind against it, enjoying the delicious friction right where I needed it.
Just as Nathanâs hand slipped under my shirt, skimming the flesh at the edge of my bra, two car doors slammed shut, startling us and making Nathan pull away. The scents of leather and tobacco and bergamot and cinnamon reached me before I could even look in their direction.
âFuck!â I cursed under my breath. Why were those two so intent on ruining my life?
Nathan left quickly after they arrived, refusing to stay even when I pouted at him. I was furious, not even close to buying their bullshit story that they were worried about me.
âWhat the fuck do you want?â I growled at the youngest two triplet brothers.
âIs that any way to talk to your Alphas?â Caryâs arrogance never ceased to annoy me.
âFuture Alphas.â I reminded him, sticking a pin in his inflated ego. âWith any luck, Iâll find my mate and be long gone before that day comes.â
Their chests rumbled with a stifled growl when I said that but they didnât argue the point.
âIâll ask again. Why are you really here?â They were both on my last nerve.
Clay and Cary just smirked, then crowded in on either side of me, slinging their arms over my shoulder.
âWe told you, we were worried about you.â Cary stated matter-of-factly, like he wasnât spewing total crap.
âLetâs get you inside, little wolf. Itâs late and you shouldnât be out here alone.â Clay said, and I hated myself a little for the tiny thrill I felt when he called me by the pet name heâd given me.
âIn case it escaped your notice, I wasnât alone.â I grumbled under my breath but they pretended not to hear.
âHello, Maeve!â They greeted my mother when we entered the house.
Then they walked straight over to the couch and pulled me down between them, making themselves at home.
âWhat are you doing?â I gritted out under my breath, my irritation rising quickly.
âSpending time with our pack members.â Cary leaned over and breathed in my ear. I was hopeful he missed the little shiver that ran through me at his hot breath on my skin but his amused chuckle told me he definitely noticed.
âTwo of my three favorite boys!â My mother crooned, feeding their already monstrous egos and earning an eye roll from me.
âYouâre too sweet, Maeve!â Cary nearly purred at her, making her blush. âBut since youâre one of my three favorite girls, that means a lot to me.â
âImpressive.â I muttered.
âWhatâs impressive, darling?â Cary asked, already wearing a smug grin.
âThat with so, so many girls to choose from, you were able to narrow it down to just three.â It was my turn to smirk as I watched his face fall, obviously not expecting my jab.
âWell, Iâm off to bed.â Mom announced. âYou three enjoy catching up!â
Great! She had nothing better to do than monopolize Nathanâs time when he was visiting but when two guys I actually donât want to spend time with show up, she canât desert me fast enough. Traitor!
âOh, weâll definitely enjoy ourselves. Goodnight Maeve,â Clayâs suggestive comment either went right over my momâs head or she willfully ignored it.
Either way, I ended up alone in a dimly lit room with only the two manwhores for company. Lucky me.
âSo, letâs talk, darling.â Cary turned his whole body to face me.
Clay practically lifted me off the couch, pulling my back against his chest so I was facing Cary.
âWill you quit manhandling me?!â I snapped at him.
âHow would you like me to handle you, little wolf?â He murmured against my cheek.
I shot him a glare over my shoulder, telling him how little I appreciated his question.
âWhat do you want to talk about?â I asked, crossing my arms over my chest with an impatient huff.
âHow long have you and the Winter Woods Alpha been together?â Cary asked with a frown.
âAlmost a year, not that itâs any of your business,â was my snippy response.
âAre you sleeping with him?â Clay asked boldly.
âThatâs really none of your fucking business!â I gritted out, clenching my teeth to keep from shouting at him.
âSo thatâs a no.â Cary needled me, but I refused to dignify his comment with a response. He could think what he wanted.
âMaybe you should worry less about my sex-life and more about yours. It must be difficult remembering all the women you have to avoid after you fucked them over.â I snapped back.
âSomebody sounds jealous.â Clay taunted.
âOf your harem of sluts. Hardly!â I spit out, my chest burning with rage.
âSo we like to fuck. Iâm not going to apologize for it. I donât see a mate-mark on my neck.â He replied haughtily.
âAn attitude Iâm sure your future mate will appreciate. What a lucky girl.â I said, heavy on the sarcasm. âIf she doesnât reject you on the spot to avoid the humiliation of being seen as one of your whores.â
I may have gone too far with that last comment. Clay obviously thought so because he wrapped his hand around my throat and tipped my chin back roughly, forcing me to look at him.
âStill too sassy for your own good, arenât you, little wolf?â He ground out angrily. âI can guarantee you, when it comes to our mate, no one will be rejecting anyone.â
âWhatever helps you sleep at night.â I bit back, yanking his hand away from me. âI think itâs time for you to leave. I have to get up early to drive to Winter Woods to see my boyfriend.â
âNo you donât!â Cary barked. âYou will meet us on the training field at seven am. Our parents invested a lot for you to earn that Warrior designation. The least you can do in return is help us train the pack.â
âBut-,â I started to argue.
âNo buts, little wolf.â Clay said, cutting me off. âLoverboy can wait. Your time belongs to us until we say otherwise.â
And then they got up and left without a backward glance.
âUuuugh!â I screamed, hurling a throw pillow at the door.
