Chapter 105
The CEO's Amazing Ex-Wife Is Back!
Chapter 105 Zeke wasnât in a very bright mood. No, that was an understatement; he was in a very shitty mood.
How could he not be after seeing the trending news about Thalassa and Clarkâs supposed relationship?
With a grim expression, he made his way into the foyer of TT Fashion Company and headed to one of the elevators. Just as the door was about to close, a young man in a delivery uniform, holding a bouquet of white lilies, rushed in:
Zeke didnât think much of it until he realized the young man hadnât punched in another floor. His suspicions were confirmed when after they reached the top floor and the elevatorâs door opened, the young man began stepping out.
âHey,â Zeke called out in a low voice but the guy heard and stopped.
âYes?â The young man replied, looking a bit impatient.
âWho are you bringing those flowers to?â
The delivery man checked the card tucked into the bouquet. âThalassa Thompson. Itâs from Clark Morgan. Am I on the right floor?â
Zekeâs jaw clenched. How long had this been going on without his knowledge?
âYes, you are. And luckily, Iâm headed there too, so you can give me the flowers. Iâll take them to her.â
The delivery man hesitated. âIâm sorry, but I have to deliver them directly.â
With that, he started to walk away when Zeke grabbed him by the arm. âThalassa isnât around. Sheâs gone out for a bit of work so you would have to live it with someone anyway. Unless you want to have to come back?â
âHell no. Iâm tired as it is,â the young man groaned and handed the flowers to Zeke. âBut youâve got to sign.â
âSure.â Zeke took the pen and scribbled a random signature. âGood day.â
He watched the delivery man get into the elevator, and as soon as the doors closed, he walked to the nearest trash can and tossed the flowers inside. Luckily, no one was in sight.
Or so he thought until he turned and saw his sister.
âWhich flowers are those? Did you bring them? Why are you throwing them in the trash?â
âOh, itâs nothing. They were just a little withered.â
Luisa didnât look convinced, but before she could say anything, another delivery guy stepped out of a different elevator, holding a bouquet of pink lilies this time.
âYouâve got to be kidding me,â Zeke hissed under his breath and walked towards the new delivery man. âWho are those from?â
The man seemed taken aback by Zekeâs cold tone.
âUh, Mr. Kris Miller.â
âThat idiot,â Zeke fumed. âWhat does he think heâs doing, sending flowers to her after everything? Take those flowers back to him. Weâre not accepting them.â
âIâm sorry, sir, but itâs not up to you. Unless your name is Thalassa Thompson.
Chapter 105 âYes, it is up to me because Thalassa has made it clear that she doesnât want anything from him. Now take those back before I call security.â
âOkay, fine. I didnât know. No need to call security. Iâll go.â With that, the delivery man scrambled back into the elevator.
When Zeke turned back, his sister was watching him with a bemused expression.
âThalassa is going to be upset when she finds out. You know she hates other people making decisions for her.â
Instead of responding, Zeke went straight to the accusation heâd come there with. âYou never told me about Thalassa and Clark Morgan.â
Luisa sighed, having expected this. âWhat was I supposed to tell you? Youâve seen him around here before.â
âYes, but I thought he was just a client or something,â Zeke complained.
It was already tough enough dealing with Kris Miller as a rival. Now he had to contend with yet another rival for Thalassaâs affection.
âWhy didnât you tell me he was after Thalassa? Iâm disappointed I had to find out from tabloids and not from you.â
âJesus, lower your voice,â Luisa hissed, looking around before stepping closer to her brother. âYou have no reason to be disappointed in me because I havenât done anything wrong.â
She let out another sigh. âBrother, I know youâre in love with Thalassa, and believe me, thereâs nothing I would like more than for the two of you to be together. But please understand that I want Thalassa to be happy as much as I want you to be happy, and if that happiness isnât with you but with another man, then so be it.â
Zeke was pained. âSo theyâre really together, like the tabloids say?â
Luisa shook her head. âNo, thatâs just madeâup gossip. Clark confessed his feelings to Thalassa, but she rejected him.â
Zeke felt a surge of hope. âThat means I still have a chance with her.â
Luisa looked at him. âZeke, you havenât even told her that youâre in love with her. How is she supposed to consider you as an option?â
Zeke ran a hand through his hair, realizing his sister was right. Heâd delayed confessing his feelings to Thalassa out of fear of rejection. Heâd been waiting for the right moment, but now he realized that if he didnât act fast, someone else might take her away.
âThat changes today,â he declared.
âWhat do you mean?â Luisa questioned, but Clark was already on his way, heading toward Thalassaâs office.
As he arrived, the office door opened, and Thalassa stepped out, blinking in surprise.
âZeke.â
âLassa, thereâs something I need to tell you.â
Thalassaâs brows furrowed. âWhat is it, Zeke? Why so serious?â
Zeke glanced at Thalassaâs secretary, Juana, who was watching them curiously. He knew he needed to speak to Thalassa privately but feared he would lose his courage by the time they would get to her office.
So he began speaking right there. âLassa, Iâve known you for three years now, and youâre one of the most +25 BONUS Chapter 105 incredible women Iâve ever met. Iâmââ
Before he could finish, a voice sneered from behind him. âWho do you think you are, sending away the flowers I sent for Thalassa? When did she give you the permission to start making decisions for her?
He turned to see Kris storming toward him. The two men squared off, their furious eyes glaring at each other.
