Chapter 125
The CEO's Amazing Ex-Wife Is Back!
Chapter 125 +25 BONUS Millieâs heart pounded in her chest, and all she wished for in that moment was for the earth to open up and swallow her whole.
âWhy do you have those bruises, Millie?â Zeke asked, his voice more serious than before.
âBruises?â Millie chuckled nervously, shifting her back away from the mirror so he couldnât see the reflection anymore. âYou must have seen wrong. Why would I have bruises?â
âIâm not stupid, Millie. I know what I saw,â Zeke said, taking a step closer to her.
Millie felt like she was going to pass out as he approached. âZeke, please leave. Itâs not appropriate for you to be here while Iâm barely dressed. Please go.â
Whether or not the situation was appropriate was the last thing on Zekeâs mind as he closed most of the distance between them.
âForgive me,â he apologized for what he was about to do.
Placing his hand on her shoulder, he tried to turn her back to face him, but Millie resisted.
âZeke, no, please...â
âMillie...â Zeke ground out.
There was a warning in his tone that made Millie stop resisting. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she allowed him to turn her body so he could see her back.
Zeke sucked in a breath. Seeing her back up close, he felt even more horrified. There were several bruises caused by what looked like belt leather, belt hooks, and whips.
Some of the wounds were red and turning purple, indicating they were new, while others had left small scars or discoloration as they healed.
âWho did this to you?â he asked as calmly as he could, though all he felt like doing was screaming.
âNobody. I did it to myself,â Millie quickly said.
Zeke stared at her incredulously. âDid it to yourself? Iâm sorry, Millie, but even if you could reach every part of your back, thereâs no way you could do this to yourself. Who did this?â
It didnât take long for him to draw his conclusions, remembering how nervous Millie always seemed around her boyfriend, how she almost appeared scared.
âItâs Francis, isnât it? That lowlife boyfriend of yours. He did this to you!â
âNo,â Millie denied fervently. âIt wasnât him. He would never do something like this to me.â
âWouldnât he?â Zeke scoffed, not believing she was trying to defend the wretch. âNow it all makes sense why you look so nervous around himâbecause he hurts you.â
Fury shot through him, causing him to clench his hands into tight fists. âI swear heâs going to fucking pay for laying a hand on you. Where is he? Where does he work, huh? Tell me, Millie. I donât care if I have to go to his job and let everyone know what a piece of shit he is.â
Millie clasped her hands in front of her. âNo, Zeke, I beg you. You donât have to do this. I did this to myself. Francis has never laid a hand on me.â
âYouâre not going to make me believe that, so just tell me where I can find that bastard.â
Chapter 125 425 2015 âZeke...â
âDamn it, Millie. Just tell me!â
Zekeâs voice had become harsher, his body tense, the veins in his neck bulging as if they were about to burst. He knew he shouldnât be speaking to her like this, but all he was seeing was red. Heâd never experienced this level of rage before, especially on someone elseâs behalf.
âHe... he works at a bar.â
âWhat bar? Whatâs the address?â
Her lips quivering, Millie rattled off the name and address. Immediately, Zeke turned and stormed out of the washroom.
âNo, Zeke, wait!â Millie panicked as she quickly put her dress on. The dryer was still running, but she didnât even notice as she rushed out of the washroom.
Zeke had already exited the house, but Millie was relieved that Thalassa and Luisa were still by the pool and hadnât witnessed or heard anything.
She hurried outside and got into her car, speeding through the gate. She spotted Zekeâs car in the distance and raced after him.
Luckily, she was able to catch up. She parked her car behind his and got out, rushing toward him as he reached the entrance.
âZeke, please donât. Please listen to me,â she pleaded, grabbing hold of his arm, but he didnât even look at her as he stormed into the bar.
It wasnât a large bar, and being afternoon, there werenât many people, but there were still enough to make Millieâs heart skip a beat.
Francis, who was behind the counter smiling as he poured a drink for a woman, was unaware of what was coming Before he realized it, Zeke had already grabbed him by the collar and smashed his fist into his mouth.
âYou fucking bastard, how dare you lay a hand on Millie!â Zeke raged before pouncing on him on the floor, delivering more blows to his face while Francis tried his best to dodge them.
âZeke! No! Please stop,â Millie screamed.
The men in the bar rushed behind the counter, but it took them considerable effort before they were finally able to pull Zeke off Francis.
Francis stumbled to his feet, his mouth filled with blood from his split lips.
âYou idiot. How dare you lay a hand on me?â
Seeing that the men were holding Zeke back, Francis took advantage and punched Zeke in the stomach once before Millie stepped between them.
âNo, stop. Please, Francis,â she pleaded, placing her hand on his chest.1 Francis looked at her. âYou watched him hit me and didnât stop him, but now you want to stop me?â
âWhat are you going to do?â Zeke demanded. âHit her like youâve been doing?â
He tried to free himself, but the men restraining him kept holding on.
âCalm the fuck down, boy, or weâll call the police,â one of them warned Chapter 125 âYes! Do just that so they can lock up this idiot for being an abuser of women,â Zeke growled. Millieâs heart skipped a beat as Francisâs eyes narrowed at her. âWhat is he talking about?â
âI... I tried to tell him it wasnât true, but he wouldnât listen, she stuttered.
Francis looked back at Zeke. âHear that? I am no abuser.â
âI saw the bruises on her back, you sorry excuse of a man,â Zeke ground out, struggling to get free so he could pounce on him again.
âOh, thatâs what you mean?â Francis scoffed.
The fact that he was acting like it wasnât a big deal infuriatel Zeke. âIâll fucking kill you for doing that to her.â
âOkay, I admit. I did do that to her, but not without her consent.â
Zeke tensed up. âWhat the fuck are you talking about?â
Francis turned to Millie, smiling sweetly down at her. âBabe, why donât you tell him how you got those bruises?â Millie blanched as she scanned the faces of everyone present. Swallowing, she looked at Zeke.
âI made him do this to me.â
Zeke finally managed to jerk himself free from the men holding him back. âWhat do you mean by that?â
More tears streamed down Millieâs face as she replied, âI... Iâm a masochist. My pleasure comes from the pain, so whenever we have sex, I make him hit me to make me feel good.â
