Chapter 16
The CEO's Amazing Ex-Wife Is Back!
Chapter 16 Chapter 16 âBabe... you hit me?â Brandon asked in a stunned voice as he clutched his burning cheek Tears glistened in his eyes, but Thalassa knew it wasnât because of the slap. It was because heâd realized he had probably lost his money bank.
âYouâre a despicable piece of s**t!â Luisa was still raging as she slapped him on his uncovered cheek. You dared to try to make me believe a lie about Thalassa.â
Brandon was panicking. âBut babe, you canât possibly believe her. The recording is fake. That woman is nothing but a b**h who...â
Before he could finish, a swift and hard blow connected with his mouth, sending him to the floor.
âAnother insult against Tha**a and youâre going to see the worst I can do to you,â Zeke growled.
Brandon groaned in pain, clutching his mouth where a bit of blood was dripping.
âBrother-in-law, please believe me. I donât know how she got that recording, but itâs not real. She-
âStop f**ng calling me that!â Zeke hissed. âI knew there was something off about you. I never liked you. I only tolerated you for my sisterâs sake, but now Iâm glad she has realized what sort of garbage you are.
More panic flashed in Brandonâs face as he scrambled onto his knees and grabbed Luisaâs leg. Now he realized that denying it wasnât going to get him anywhere. He needed to try another method.
âLuisa, babe, my love, please forgive me. I donât know what came over me. You know how much I love you with every ounce of my being. She mustâve cast a spell on me.â
A bitter laugh escaped Luisaâs mouth. âI bet Amanda also cast a spell on you.â Her face contorted back with anger. âWhen I began to suspect that you were cheating on me with her, you made me feel like an insecure girlfriend with trust issues. Now I have no doubt that you were really sleeping with her.â
âNo! There was nothing between Amanda and me, please believe me,â Brandon pleaded.
Luisa sneered, âI donât care, Brandon. Itâs over between us. I donât want anything to do with you. I want you out of this house and out of my life. Let go of my leg.â
When Brandon continued holding on, Zeke growled, âShe said let go of her leg!â
But Brandon still held on, begging like a dog. âBabe, you canât do this to me. You canât let that s**id **h come between us.â
Zeke was angered, feeling like beating the idiot up, but before he could even take a step, Luisa herself lifted her free leg and jammed her knee into Brandonâs face. Brandon fell, groaning in pain while Luisa shouted, âDonât speak about my friend like that ever again. Sheâs a billion times better than a waste of a human being like you.â
Brandon got up, attempting to step towards Luisa again, but Zeke blocked his path.
âListen here, we can do this the easy way, where you leave this house peacefully on your own, or Iâll call security to kick you out.â
âBut where am I supposed to go and sleep?â
+25 BONUS Zeke scoffed. âYou can sleep on the road and get run over by a car for all I care. After hurting my sister like this, you have no place here. Get out.â
Brandon finally realized how f**d he was. And it was all Thalassaâs fault. He looked at her, his eyes blazing with anger.
âYouâ He was obviously going to call her a b**h again, but one stormy look from Zeke had him clamping his mouth shut Zeke was running out of patience, taking out his phone from his pocket to call the temporary security guard heâd hired in the past few weeks âI need you to come and get an idiot out of here right now,â he spoke into the phone.
âNo need to drag me out. I will leave on my own,â Brandon finally said. âIâll just go and get my belongings.
Before he could go, Luisa stepped in front of him. âYour belongings?â she chuckled. âIt was my money you used to buy those things, so theyâre all mine, and youâre not leaving here with a single thing.â
Brandon was horrified. âSo youâre going to make me leave without any clothes?â
âThatâs not all,â Zeke stepped forward. âIâm going to cancel the return flight I booked for you, so youâre going to have to figure out a way back to New York on your own.â
Brandonâs eyes widened. âBut... but thatâs not fair. Weâre in another city. How am I supposed to get back to New York?
Zeke raised a brow. âSurely, being a grown man, youâve worked enough to be able to buy yourself a plane ticket without my sisterâs financial assistance, right?â
The security guard arrived. âSir, who do you want me to take out?â
âHim,â Zeke pointed at Brandon. âGet him out of here and make sure you donât allow him any entry whatsoever.â
Despite Brandonâs pleas, protests, and declarations of love for Luisa, the security guard dragged him out. With an ashamed look on her face, Luisa slowly walked to stand in front of Thalassa, whoâd been observing everything wordlessly.
âI feel so ashamed even saying this, but please forgive me, Thalassa. I canât believe I allowed myself to manipulated by that wretched b**rd.â
be âLusa, itâs not your fault. That man is just a scoundrel, Zeke said, stepping forward to hug his sister from behind, but she suddenly pushed him away âDonât touch me, Zeke Youâre probably happy about ties, arenât you? You always warned me about him, but I never listened. You must be happy that you were proven right.â
And then she broke into tears, sinking into one of the couches.
âOf course not, sister. Zeke attempted to step forward and speak, but Thalassa raised her hand to stop Chapter 16 him.
âLet me talk to her.â
+25 BONUS Karen Blade had just stepped out of the shower when her phone rang. Looking at the caller ID, she gritted her teeth before picking up the phone.
âWhat do you want?â
âI want to see you, Karen,â the voice of a man was heard.
âWhy wonât you stop pestering me?â Karen groaned.
âAnd why wonât you be mine, Karen?â the man questioned. âKris doesnât love you, Canât you see heâs stil hung up on Thalassa?â
The reminder pained Karen even more, but she said, âThatâll change soon. Now that weâve managed to get Thalassa out of the way, heâs finally going to realize Iâm the woman for him.â
Suddenly, the door to the room burst open, startling Karen. She spun around, gasping when she saw that it was her mother, Rita Blade, with a grim look on her face.
âMurn, how long were you standing there?â
âWhat is it that I heard, Karen?â Rita Blade demanded. âThat you managed to get Thalassa out of the way? Your own best friend? Are you the reason why Kris divorced Thalassa? If thatâs the case, then Iâll tell Kris the truth myself!â
Karen swallowed hard.
