Chapter 37 Kris was furious because his family had lied to him. They’d told him that Thalassa had slapped his mother unprovoked. Now it turned out that it was his mother who had slapped her first.

“You lied to me, Mum. Why did you tell me that she hit you first when that wasn’t true?‘

Regret filled him as he remembered all the hurtful things he had said to Thalassa. He’d gone to her office, angry from what his family had told him, as well as the discovery of her relationship with Zeke. That was why he’d said all those things to her.

Kris gritted his teeth, feeling agitated by everything. “Something like this shouldn’t happen again.”

With that, he turned and stormed out of the house, ignoring the calls of his family members.

“What? You said all those things to her?” Alden stared at Kris in horror.

They were in Kris’s office, and Kris had just narrated everything that happened when he went to confront Thalassa at her office.

“For me, I don’t see anything wrong with it,” Henry said, shrugging. “It’s not like he lied. That woman deserves it. She cheated on him before and after their marriage, and she went off with the first man immediately after Kris divorced her. Even if she was truly pregnant, the baby definitely didn’t belong to Kris “Even so, he shouldn’t have said those things to her,” Alden insisted, glaring at Henry before he turned back to Kris. “Look, if Thalassa was truly pregnant, then there’s a possibility that the baby was yours, and that would mean you might have called your own child a bastard.
