Chapter 52
The CEO's Amazing Ex-Wife Is Back!
Chapter 51 Chapter 51 âYes!â Clark grinned, immediately placing his hand on her waist and pulling her into the fray of writhing bodies on the dance floor.
Alden had his eyes glued on Luisa, feeling his body warm as he watched the way she swayed to the beat.
She really seemed to be having fun, and he felt so damn tempted to walk onto the dance floor and dance with her, but he was afraid that she would be rude to him again like the last time at her office. He had to force himself to continue sitting.
Krisâs gaze darkened even more as he watched how Thalassa had allowed Clark to hold her close to him while they danced.
Alden noticed his dark gaze and let out an amused chuckle. Why are you looking at Clark like you want to kill him? Theyâre just dancing.â
âJust dancing?â Henry scoffed. âIsnât she supposed to be with Zeke Mathews? So why is she allowing another man to dance so intimately with her? How much cheaper can she be?â
Alden glared at him. âYou know, sometimes itâs better to just keep your thoughts to yourself if you have nothing sensible to say, Henry.â
âOh please. You know Iâm not lying. She jumped into Zeke Mathewsâ arms immediately after her divorce with Kris, and now sheâs flirting with Clark even though sheâs still with Zeke Mathews. Which decent woman does that?â
Kris was getting even more irritated, turning his heated eyes to Henry. âShut up right now, Henry. You have no right to speak about her that way.â
Henry was taken aback, looking offended. âWhy do you always defend that woman even after everything she has done to you?â
(1 Fuming, Kris didnât reply as he returned his solemn gaze to Thalassa and Clark who were still dancing and laughing as they did.
Every other second, Thalassaâs eyes would fall in his direction, as if she was trying to see his reaction.
Why did he feel like she was dancing so intimately with Clark Morgan just to irritate him?
âSheâs doing it to bother me,â he said under his breath, but Alden heard him.
âYou mean dancing with him.â Alden frowned slightly, though amusement glimmered in his eyes. âWhy would it bother you that sheâs dancing with another man, Kris?â
âIt doesnât bother me,â Kris hissed. âI only said sheâs doing it to bother me.â
Despite his words, Kris felt a strong urge to storm onto the dance floor and pull her away from Clark, and it was all he could do to stop himself.
What was wrong with him?
On the dance floor, Thalassa was flustered after dancing for several minutes. Clark had been telling the truth when he claimed his dancing skills had gone rusty because it took a lot of lessons before he could get his moves right again.
Because of that, sheâd ignored the pressure in her abdomen but now she couldnât ignore it anymore.
âSorry, but I need to visit the ladiesâ room.â
1/2 +25 BONUS Chapter 513 âOh,â Clark said with disappointment since he was enjoying himself so much, but he freed her anyway. âDonât take too long.â
Nodding, she informed Luisa before making her way through the dancing bodies to the washroom. There was no one inside when she entered.
She made her way into one of the stalls, did her business, and came out to wash her hands. Done drying her hands with the air dryer, she was just about to walk out of the washroom when the door suddenly opened, and the last person she expected or wanted to talk to walked inside.
âIn case youâre beginning to go blind, the sign plastered on the door clearly shows that this is the ladiesâ room.â She sneered, feeling her defences rising.
With a stormy look on his face, Kris stormed towards her, and before she knew it, her back was pressed against the cold, tiled wall, his body pressing against hers to keep her steady.
âWhy were you dancing like that with Clark Morgan? To get a reaction out of me?â He demanded, his eyes searing into hers, his mouth so close that she could feel his heated breath on her lips.
