After the wedding procession was over, Zi Yi and Lu Jingye also went up onto the stage.

Lu Jingye then announced, “The banquet officially commences now.”

Zi Yi and Lu Jingye stepped off the stage to entertain the guests.

Lu Jingye was the groom’s brother and Zi Yi was his sister-in-law. Also, they were the twins’ parents. They definitely had to drink a lot today.

They kept drinking from afternoon to night time.

A tall man walked over from the side. He picked up her phone and handed it to her.

As Dou Yurui lay prone on the chair looking at the man. She discovered the man was particularly tall and had curly blonde hair. He looked like a celebrity straight off the television. She reached her hand out to touch his hair.

The man surprisingly cooperated and squatted down so that she could touch it.

“Are you okay, Miss?”

The man had a deep mellow voice that sounded sexy.

Dou Yurui muttered, “You’re gorgeous. Are you for real?”

Since she had drunk too much, her voice sounded muffled. The man leaned closer so that he could hear her clearly.

In a split second, a hand squeezed his cheek.

She used so much strength that the man nearly smacked her hand aside out of instinct.

Dou Yurui let go of his cheek and patted it as she said, “You’re warm, so you must be real.”

She got up.

The man reached his hand out standing in front of her. “You must feel terrible now. Let me help you to the guest room so that you can rest.”

Dou Yurui looked at his fair hand before she held her own hand up. She said in disdain to it, “He’s a man, but his hands look better than you. You’re completely useless.”

The man went speechless.

It was the first time he had encountered a woman with disdain for her hands.

The man said, “My name is Owen.”

Dou Yurui looked up at him intently for some time before she said, “Owen? Which country are you from?”

Owen replied, “Country A.”

Dou Yurui asked, “Are you royalty?”

Owen replied, “That’s right.”

Owen waited for a look of astonishment to emerge on Dou Yurui’s face.

In a split second, Dou Yurui closed her eyes and slumped in the chair. She said, “Even though you’re a guest, I can’t entertain you now. If you want someone to drink with you, you’ll have to try someone else.”

Owen felt intrigued and asked, “You’re related to the host, so you should drink and help entertain the guests, right? I want to drink with you. How could you say no?”

“Let me send you to the guest room.” Owen was not asking a question this time. Instead, he simply supported her by the arm and made her stand up.

Dou Yurui was confused, so she did not realize someone had made her stand up. She even continued talking, “Do you think I don’t know what you’re trying to do? With me around, no one can get my cousin drunk.”

“From the looks of it, you are very protective of her.”

“Of course. She’s family, so I have to protect her.”

Owen casually listened to Dou Yurui. On seeing she had trouble walking, he supported her as he continued walking.
