When Zi Yi woke up, it was already past eight o’clock in the morning.

After getting the both of them ready for the day, she carried Tangtang and headed downstairs.

Lu Jingye carried Guoguo as he waited in the living room.

When he saw Zi Yi come down, he said, “Mom and Anya have gone to the jewelry store. Give me Tangtang and you eat first. After breakfast, let’s go to your grandfather’s place.”

Zi Yi handed Tangtang to him.

Lu Jingye had not carried the twins in some time, so he could not bear to put them back in the crib. Instead, he placed one baby on each leg and held them.

The moment the twins faced each other, Guoguo started gurgling at Tangtang with her lips pouting. It seemed as though she was discussing something important to her brother.

Tangtang listened patiently with a serious look on his face.

Zi Yi instantly felt tickled by the twins. She said, “Ah Jing, why do I have a feeling Guoguo is talking bad about me? Just look at her pouting. If she isn’t complaining about me, I don’t know what else she could be saying.”

Lu Jingye felt tickled by her words. He said, “If Guoguo has any complaints about you, she must be calling you a lazy pig for waking up at this hour.”

Zi Yi quietly ate breakfast.

After breakfast, they washed up, took the twins, and went to the Dou residence with a lot of things.

Lu Jingye told them about their visit today first thing in the morning and all the aunts were around.

First Madam said, “Little Lu, Yiyi, stay here for the rest of the day. We’ll help take care of the twins. If you want, you can go out as well.”

Zi Yi smiled as she glanced at Lu Jingye.

Lu Jingye said, “Well, we really need you to help keep an eye on them for a while. We’re going to Metropolis University later.”

Their aunts promptly told them to go ahead. They even offered to take care of the twins until nighttime if they needed help.

Zi Yi deliberately griped softly to Lu Jingye. “Why do I have a feeling they don’t like us as much ever since Tangtang and Guoguo were born?”

Second Madam smiled and said, “Yiyi, you are absolutely right. We love the twins the most. Even if it means we have to see the two of you, we don’t mind.”

Zi Yi acted hurt. “If I knew, I wouldn’t have brought Tangtang and Guoguo here.”

Third Madam said, “In that case, you’re not welcome here.”

“Wuuuu”

“Hahahaha…”

“Guoguo my dear. You love to laugh, don’t you? I love you to pieces. I have to kiss you.”

As Elder Dou sat there watching Zi Yi bicker with her aunts, he kept smiling.

Zi Yi asked Elder Dou, “Grandpa, do you want to go to Metropolis University with us?”

Ever since last year, Zi Yi told Elder Dou she would show him around Metropolis University. However, she had yet to make good on her promise and she felt bad about it.

Elder Dou was genuinely in the mood and said, “Sure. I’d like to take a look and find out what has changed at the university.”

Elder Dou got ready and the three of them headed to Metropolis University.

When they got to Metropolis University, Zi Yi said to Lu Jingye, “Ah Jing, why don’t you go talk to the principal first? I’ll take a walk around the campus with Grandpa. When you’re done, we will come and meet you.”

Lu Jingye nodded. He then paused and said, “When we get there, put on a cap and mask. The university accepted a lot of students this year. If they see you, I’m sure they’ll be very excited.”

A lot of the freshmen this year idolized Zi Yi badly. If anyone spotted her, it was normal for her to end up being surrounded and garner a lot of attention.

If Zi Yi was alone, Lu Jingye would not be worried but Elder Dou was around, so he was worried that those excited students might overreact and bump into the old man.

Zi Yi nodded. “In that case, Grandpa and I will put on a disguise.”

Lu Jingye told his bodyguard to go to the nearby accessory store to purchase caps and masks for them.

They were unrecognizable after putting on their caps and masks.

After entering Metropolis University, Zi Yi asked Elder Dou, “Grandpa, where do you want to go first?”

Elder Dou pondered and said, “Let’s go to the nearest faculty. I recall that there are a lot of ginkgo trees at the School of Science. It’s the season when the leaves start falling, so I’m sure it’ll be beautiful. We can also see if they have any exhibits going on.”

“Sure thing.”

Even though Elder Dou had not visited Metropolis University in many years, he could keenly remember every path on the campus.

The ginkgo trees at the School of Science were one of the most beautiful sights at Metropolis University. A lot of students from other faculties would take walks here when there were no classes just to relax and admire the view.

Zi Yi supported Elder Dou as they strolled on the paths covered with ginkgo tree leaves. He told her stories about Metropolis University and it was very relaxing.

“Around 30 years ago, there were no ginkgo trees here. Instead, we had sycamore trees. Since a lot of students were allergic to the flowers, we changed them to ginkgo trees.”

Zi Yi was about to speak when they heard people talking.

“Did you hear? Elite students from all the top universities abroad are here. Two of them are going to have a face-off at the Science and Technology Building right now.”

“Oh really? Let’s go check it out then. They consist of the best students at the international level. I’m just a sophomore and not the brightest student out there. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind swapping some pointers with them. I want to see what they are capable of doing.”

“You can just forget about it. They are very smart students. Their abilities and the experiments they conduct are simply out of our league.”

“They are top students from all the universities, so that means they are just like us. Why do we have to be afraid of them?”

“That was not what I meant.”

As they spoke, they headed to the Science and Technology Building.

Zi Yi looked at Elder Dou and asked, “Grandpa, do you want to check it out?”

Elder Dou nodded. He knew what Zi Yi was planning to do at Metropolis University. He said, “I think this is good. As long as nothing violent comes of this, competition is good. If they get selected by you, they need to learn to cooperate as a team.”

Zi Yi felt the same way. “Grandpa, don’t worry. If they join my class, I will scare the sh*t out of them if anyone doesn’t work as a team.”

Elder Dou burst out laughing.

The two of them followed the crowd who were going over to the Science and Technology Building to watch the face-off.

The two students competing today were from Country A and Country Y.

Both of them majored in mechanical engineering, so they were very competitive and wanted to swap a few pointers with each other.

Pascal from Country A had eye-catching red hair with every strand of hair standing up, looking confident. He looked at Bryan from Country Y and sneered coolly. “Country A has the best mechanical engineering faculties at the university level. I can’t believe you challenged me. Today, I’m going to show you what it means to be a mechanical engineering genius.”

Bryan smiled and scoffed. “The best? You must be joking, right? To begin with, Zi Yi is the best in the industry. Even Country D’s D.Uni far surpasses yours.”
