Chapter 710 - Zi Yi Showing Them Who Is the Real Gambling God

When the manager and staff members saw the man, they immediately called out respectfully, “Boss.”

The man did not bother to look at them as he walked towards where the three of them were.

His eyes were on Lu Jingye who was seated on Zi Yi’s left side and he spoke in Chinese. “Welcome.”

His words surprised the group of people across the table.

Lu Jingye turned around and they made eye contact.

Two seconds later, the man suddenly smiled. He walked to the middle of the table and said to the manager, “Pass me the cards, I’ll handle this.”

The bosses seated opposite Zi Yi were so shocked that they widened their eyes.

However, the man looked at Zi Yi and asked with a smile, “This... Madam here, are you sure you are going to be the one to gamble with them?”

Zi Yi looked at the cards in his hands and said, “As long as none of you cheat, I believe my luck will be better than theirs.”

The group of bosses sitting opposite her revealed disdainful expressions at the same time.

They had invited a gambling god and it was unlikely that they could not win against a woman.

“It’s better not to talk too big too early.”

The man waited for everyone to finish their conversation before he started shuffling the cards.

His shuffling technique was very professional but fancy at the same time. Everyone was looking at the cards flying around in the air.

Sometime later, he asked, “What game do you intend to play?”

“The one with the highest points wins.”

Zi Yi agreed. “I don’t mind.”

Lu Jingye and Lu Yunxiao did not make any comments, it was as if they were really here to just accompany Zi Yi and allowed her to play in whatever way she liked.

Everyone’s gaze, however, consciously and subconsciously turned to Lu Jingye.

They were thinking about how they could get more money out of his black card.

The man started to deal the cards.

Zi Yi and the gambling god both drew three cards.

Their cards were facing down.

This was the first time Zi Yi gambled and she found it particularly novel. She asked Lu Jingye, “Ah Jing, which ones are the biggest number?”

“The number ten card gets you the most points. Jack, queen, king and ace are all 1 point.”

As soon as Lu Jingye said that, the dealer said, “Yes, the rule is the same for this game in all casinos.”

Zi Yi nodded her head and the bosses sitting opposite her looked down on her even more.

She didn’t even know the rules of the game and yet, she was here to gamble. It seems like she was really here to give them money.

One of the bosses on the other side pushed a pile of chips and placed them in the center. “I’ll bet five million.”

Another one also pushed a pile of chips forward. “Three million.”

Someone else. “Four million.”

“Five million.”

Zi Yi looked at the chips they pushed out and glanced at Lu Jingye.

He said, “You can put as many chips as you like.”

Zi Yi looked at the chips on her side and was just about to stand up to push them forward.

The manager standing next to them enthusiastically said, “Madam, how many chips do you tend to bet? I’ll help you.”

“10 million.”

The manager pushed out 10 million worth of chips.

The bosses made eye contact with each other and one of them said to the gambling god. “Reveal one card first.”

The gambling king first covered one of the cards with his hand and slowly moved it to the front, before he slowly revealed it.

The bosses who had been holding their breaths instantly burst out laughing at the sight of this.

“10 points. Hahaha!”

The gambling king also smiled.

He revealed a pleased smile.

“Madam, it’s your turn.”

“Do I reveal one card too?”

“Yes.”

Zi Yi did not act like how the opponent did when he revealed the card. She straightforwardly flipped the card and the number was shown.

The bosses furrowed their brows at the sight of the card.

“Why is it 10 points too?”

“It may just be luck.”

“It’s normal for a beginner to have good luck with their first cards.”

Zi Yi looked at how they comforted themselves and smiled. “Are we continuing?”

“Continue. I’ll bet 10 million this time and let’s reveal the remaining two cards.”

One of the bosses pushed 10 million worth of chips to the middle.

The other three had also followed suit and pushed in their chips.

At the same time, one of them purposely said, “You’re gambling with the four of us and it should make more sense if you meet our stakes?”

Even though they were confident about winning, if they could win all the opponent’s chips earlier, perhaps she might exchange for an additional box and it would be even better! One box of chips was worth 100 million.

Zi Yi nodded her head. “In that case, I’ll bet 50 million.”

The manager standing by the side quickly pushed out 50 million worth of chips.

The opponent’s gazes lit up.

The man standing in the middle looked at Zi Yi with great interest.

Can he say that it was expected of Lu Jingye to allow his woman to play such high stakes, without even batting an eyelid?

The bosses seated opposite them said generously, “We’ll let you reveal your cards first.”

Zi Yi did not reveal her cards as quickly as before. She had also mysteriously covered her cards and took a glance before she put them down. “You first.”

The bosses held their breaths and were nearly choked by Zi Yi’s actions. However, they simply thought that her remaining two cards were not as great and so, she dared not reveal her cards. All of them got excited once again.

The few of them said to the gambling god, “Reveal your cards.”

The gambling god had been rather straightforward this time as he immediately revealed both cards.

“Hahaha... Two nines. We have 28 points and we’re sure to win.”

Zi Yi also smiled. “Who said so?”

She then flipped her cards.

When the opponents saw three 10s on the opposite table, they all nearly jumped up in shock.

The gambling god seated in the middle even said in disbelief, “How is that possible?! How could you have three 10s?”

Zi Yi was puzzled. “Isn’t there four 10s in a deck of cards? You have one 10, so what’s the problem if I have three?”

“You must have cheated!”

Zi Yi sneered. “You claim that I cheated just because you lost. Is it that you can’t afford to gamble?”

Just then, the man standing in the middle also spoke up. His tone of voice was cold and heavy. “I handed out the cards and I was also monitoring the opening of the cards. Do you think it’s possible that anyone could cheat under my nose?”

The other side were all speechless.

Zi Yi smiled and motioned to the manager. “Collect all the chips.”

The manager quickly moved the large pile of chips in the middle over to their side.

He felt that the woman had cheated.

The bosses had no opinion about it.

Zi Yi also said, “I don’t mind.”

The bosses made eye contact with each other and at the same time, they pushed out all the chips they had left. “We’ll bet everything this time.”

Zi Yi nodded. “Sure, I’ll bet all my chips too. I’ll be able to go elsewhere to play after we’re done here.”

As soon as she said that, the manager standing next to her had pushed out all the chips.
