Zi Yi’s expression sank and she quickly gave out instructions to the Shadow robots. “Shadow I, II, III, IV, immediately go and assist Ah Jing.”

After the Shadows left, Zi Yi and Little Loli quickly headed towards the door.

Little Loli asked as they walked, “Sister, are we heading to where brother-in-law is?”

“Not yet.”

As soon as Zi Yi said that, she increased her pace.

Little Loli had also quickened her pace and followed Zi Yi.

After walking out of the house, Zi Yi found a remote corner and stopped to talk to Little Loli. “Find all the places where the explosives are buried and remove all the nitroglycerin of those explosives.”

Little Loli immediately disappeared on the spot.

Zi Yi stood there and turned on her virtual screen and connected to Lu Jingye’s watch.

Soon, the situation on the other side was shown.

The female worm had Lu Jingye surrounded by a forest.

Lu Jingye saw his watch flash and he tapped the watch.

Zi Yi’s projection appeared. “Ah Jing, I’ve taken care of the situation on my side. The female worm is only coming for you now and I sent my Shadow robots to assist you.”

Lu Jingye’s breathing turned sluggish and he hastily said, “You sent your Shadow robots over, what about you?”

“The female worm and her children have left my side. If I encounter Long Aotian’s men later, it’s just a matter of minutes to take care of them.”

Lu Jingye was still very worried. His voice sounded tight. “Little Loli isn’t beside you?”

“I got her to remove the nitroglycerin from the explosives Long Aotian buried.”

There were strong emotions of worry in Lu Jingye’s eyes.

“Where are you? I’ll come over right away after I’m done here?”

Zi Yi sent him her coordinates.

“Don’t leave from there and find a place to hide. Don’t confront Long Aotian’s men.”

She did not have the wariness of a pregnant woman at all and Lu Jingye was extremely worried. “Be sure to pay attention to your safety.”

Zi Yi nodded her head. “Got that.”

Just then, the space on Lu Jingye’s side started to distort and Zi Yi said, “The female worm has arrived at your side.”

Zi Yi’s Shadows had also appeared at the same time.

Their video call was disconnected the moment the space started distorting.

Zi Yi looked at her surroundings.

This was the back mountain of the stockade and there were many buildings and even more forests. In particular, there were tall towers spaced around her.

On top of those tall towers were heavily built men armed with weapons.

Zi Yi stood there without moving. She turned on a laptop-sized virtual screen and continuously swiped across it.

Just then, someone was approaching her from somewhere near.

Zi Yi looked up and soon, she saw He Fei running over to her side in large strides.

He Fei’s expression did not seem normal. He was running around and gasping for breath. Moreover, he was looking at his surroundings while running, clearly looking for something.

Zi Yi coldly looked at him running through the door she came out from. He was in there for some time before he came running out.

After he came out, he squatted down over there.

Zi Yi looked away and when she was planning to ignore him, He Fei’s panting cry sounded. “Zi Yi.”

Zi Yi furrowed her eyebrows.

He Fei stood up and looked at his surroundings while shouting, “Zi Yi, if you are in the vicinity, come out. I’ll take you out of here.”

Zi Yi’s frown tightened.

He Fei seemed to have exhausted all his strength, as his hands were hanging limply by the sides, while he muttered to himself, “Long Aotian invited you two today and he has no intentions of letting you leave. Why did you come here with him? Are you seeking death?”

Zi Yi tightened her lips.

He Fei continued to speak, “I know that you’ve never liked me and to be honest, I fancied you because of your looks too. Now that I’ve experienced so many things, I discovered that I don’t like you anymore. You’re a heartless and spiteful person, you…”

“Are you looking for a fight?”

When a cold voice sounded near him, He Fei suddenly jumped up.

He looked at Zi Yi and there was no need to mention how strange his expression was. “Sure enough, you’re still around here.”

Zi Yi did not make her way over. She merely stood beneath a tree and said indifferently, “It was impossible for you to have gotten up from the hotel bed. With how you’re alive and kicking right now, it means that you ate a prohibited drug. This drug can block your pain senses for the time being and restore your strength to its best condition. However the side effect of the drug is that you will suffer miserably in the following period of time and end up dying.”

He Fei felt his heart tighten at her words. He clenched his fists and smiled with indifference. “Anyway, I have accomplished nothing and I couldn’t even send my father off at his funeral. Isn’t it better to die? In that case, I don’t have to go back and face the accusations from my family.”

Zi Yi scoffed and helped him finish the sentence. “Before your death, you’ll bring Ah Jing and me together down with you too, right?”

He Fei’s pupils shrank and his clenched fists tightened. A smile curved up on his lips and he said, “Even if I were to drag someone down with me, I won’t pull you along with us.”

He looked at the surroundings before turning to Zi Yi. “Are you lost? I’ll take you out.”

His expression was very serious when he said that.

Zi Yi looked at him with a taut expression and did not answer him.

He Fei’s phone suddenly rang and he did not answer it as he stared at Zi Yi while repeating himself. “It’s dangerous here. You’ll hold him back if you’re here anyways. I’ll send you out first.”

“He Fei.” Zi Yi looked into his eyes. “You still don’t know the truth of your father’s death?”

He Fei’s body suddenly trembled and his eyes reddened. He gnashed his teeth and said, “I already know.”

“You think it’s Ah Jing who killed your father?”

“Isn’t that the case?!”

Since they had laid out all their cards, there was no need for He Fei to continue pretending. He said with an expression of hatred, “Even if he robbed me of the woman I like, I can tell myself that I am lacking in comparison and that it was understandable that you liked him.

“However… he killed my father and yet, he did not dare to admit doing so. Hahaha… to think that I believed in him and felt that he would never lie.”

Speaking of this, He Fei’s eyes turned even redder. His body trembled even more as he tried to suppress his anger and hatred.

Zi Yi tightened her lips and looked at him for a few seconds. She did not bother explaining and tapped on her watch. Immediately afterwards, the scene of He Fei’s father’s death was displayed. Subsequently, He Fei’s Grandfather beat up his First Uncle while his mother scratched at him.

He Fei looked at the image in front of him and he felt his head buzzing. He revealed shock and disbelief in his eyes.

Zi Yi said, “This is the truth of your father’s death.”

He Fei seemed as though he had not heard Zi Yi’s words. He lowered his eyes and revealed a smile that was even uglier than that of a crying face.

It just so happened that his phone rang again.
