Engineer Yang wanted to show off so he purposely exposed the necklace hanging around his neck.

Zi Yi saw it and asked, “How did you manage to come in when you’re wearing a necklace?”

Engineer Yang said with a smile, “There weren’t any problems with this necklace when undergoing the checks. As long as the detector did not sound any alarms, it’s fine for me to wear it.”

Speaking of this, he even proudly showed it to Zi Yi. “What’s more, Team Leader Li gifted me this necklace. How could the things she gave me have any problems?”

Zi Yi looked at the necklace for a few seconds and said, “There’s something moving in this pendant.”

“That’s glitter powder. Isn’t it very beautiful?”

Before Zi Yi could answer, Engineer Chu who was standing on the side could not take it anymore and said, “Aren’t you embarrassed carrying such a girly-looking necklace? What’s there to see?”

“I think you’re just jealous of me.”

Engineer Yang did not care about him at all and deliberately looked at the necklace as he admired it. “This colorful glitter looks so beautiful inside this cross-shaped pendant. I find it pretty and how dare you say it’s girly-looking? I think you’re just claiming grapes are sour since you can’t eat them.”

“Haha.”

The work continued.

When they returned to the lab after lunch, Engineer Yang did not rest and instead, he sat there and looked at the necklace Team Leader Li gave him.

Zi Yi took a glance in his direction before she went to rest in the lounge specially prepared for her.

While Engineer Yang was admiring the pendant, he noticed that there was something crawling inside. He gasped in surprise and rubbed his eyes before he continued staring at it. After looking at it for some time, there was still something crawling around.

“Could it be that an impurity was mixed in it?”

Out of curiosity, Engineer Yang intended to open the cross to take a look.

The cross was movable. If one pressed a bump on the side, there would be a hole.

When he opened the cross, a black spot flashed around. Engineer Yang blinked and muttered, “Could it be that my eyes failed me just now?”

Having said that, he looked at the glitter inside the cross. As he was worried he might spill it, he closed the hole.

However, after he closed it, he felt his eyes go blurry before returning back to normal in the next second.

The others returned to the work area after taking a short rest.

Halfway through, Engineer Yang made a suggestion. “Let’s test out the performance of Moonlight. I have a new idea. Didn’t we install a barrier for Moonlight the previous time? Let’s test to see if Moonlight can walk out of the R&D Center.”

The engineers thought that it was a good idea.

Engineer Yang said with great enthusiasm, “I’ll give Moonlight the orders today.”

Having said that, he walked to the control panel beside Moonlight and quickly entered a set of instructions.

Zi Yi walked to his side and looked at the data displayed on the screen.

Just as Engineer Yang was halfway through entering the instructions, he suddenly paused.

Zi Yi looked at how Engineer Yang seemed to be unaware of how he entered an additional code and she pursed her lips.

After Engineer Yang finished entering the instructions, he ordered Moonlight to turn invisible and at the same time, he opened the door for the robot.

The other four engineers went to the control panel on their side and looked at the image projected from Moonlight’s point of view.

Moonlight did not manage to make it out of the base. He was soon detected by the monitoring system.

The engineers were a little disappointed. “I didn’t expect Moonlight to be detected so soon.”

“It seems like we have to try other methods.”

For the whole afternoon, all the engineers were trying out other methods.

When it was almost time for Zi Yi to knock off from work, she casually gave them a pointer or two. When they heard her pointer, they immediately sobered up.

“Zi Yi, you’re so smart. I didn’t know we could do it like this.”

“We’ll change the program right away.”

“After that, we can test it out.”

When they mentioned they wanted to change the program, Engineer Yang stopped them and said, “Let Zi Yi do it. Since she can put forward such an idea, perhaps she might think of other ideas when she’s changing the program.”

Everyone thought that what he said made sense and ended up having Zi Yi change the program.

After the change, the engineers got Moonlight to take a stroll around the base once again. This time round, Moonlight went undetected.

The engineers were all extremely happy and there was no need to mention how excited they all were.

After Zi Yi got off work, the engineers studied the program Zi Yi had changed until they got off work.

After work, Engineer Yang excitedly made his way to Team Leader Li’s place.

The place where Team Leader Li stayed was a little far from their dormitory. When Engineer Yang made his way over, he did not encounter a single patrol guard.

Engineer Yang’s mind was full of Team Leader Li and he did not notice the unusualness.

There were not many women inside the base so most of them lived in a single building.

When Engineer Yang arrived outside of Team Leader Li’s dormitory, he was suddenly puzzled. He did not know which floor she lived on.

Unexpectedly, just as he was straining his neck to take a look around, Team Leader Li came out of the building.

“Engineer Yang, you’re here.” Team Leader Li gave him a charming smile and said, “Follow me.”

Engineer Yang followed behind her like a dog on a leash.

Team Leader Li brought him into her room and Engineer Yang immediately held her from the back and was about to kiss her shoulders.

Team Leader Li hastily stopped him and said softly, “What’s the hurry? Come, I prepared some food for you. Let’s eat something first.”

“But I have to go back before midnight.”

“Then let’s have a glass of wine first.”

When he heard that they were going to drink, Engineer Yang thought that having a glass would not delay things and could even improve the mood. He immediately replied excitedly, “Ok, sure!”

Team Leader Li poured half a glass of wine for both of them.

Engineer Yang finished the glass in one gulp and was about to pounce on Team Leader Li, when in the next second, he felt his body stiffen.

Subsequently, there was an expression on his face that seemed as though he was consumed by lust.

Team Leader Li looked at Engineer Yang and felt extremely disgusted at the sight of him. Just then, a man suddenly appeared.

The man said, “He’s drugged right now. Get him to open the door to the S-Class laboratory later. I’ll transfer away all the guards over there just moments before he arrives.”

“There are tons of surveillance over there. What if the surveillance captures the scene?”

“Don’t worry. I already had people taking care of the surveillance.”

Team Leader Li nodded her head. Looking at Engineer Yang’s face, she had the urge to give him a few slaps across his face. “I don’t want to see this disgusting man at all.”

The man walked over to Team Leader Li and hugged her as he said softly, “Don’t worry, he will be disappearing from here very soon.”

Team Leader Li smiled.

Engineer Yang did not expect that he really slept with Team Leader Li. When he recovered from the drug, the way he looked at her was as though his eyes would turn into hearts.

Team Leader Li got down from the bed while wearing a thick robe. She fiddled with the tie with her back facing him and said in a slightly embarrassed tone, “Now that I’m yours, will you listen to me on everything in the future?”

“Of course, of course.” Engineer Yang hastily sat up and looked at Team Leader Li’s back view. If not for the fact that he was lacking in strength, he felt like pouncing on her again. That type of feeling was simply too great. He felt that if Team Leader Li wanted him to die right now, he would be willing to do so.

Team Leader Li turned around and gave him a wink. “Then go to your workplace. I want to see your appearance when you work.”
