Zi Yi thought of Situ Feng and asked, “Your Brother’s salary should be good. In fact, you don’t have to work.”

Zi Yi buttered up to Mrs. Lu while she ate the pudding. “Mom, the soup you prepare is the yummiest. I want to drink two bowls tonight.”

Mrs. Lu was delighted deep down inside. She then fed a piece of pastry she had made to Zi Yi.

Lu Jingye who was standing by the kitchen door was also smiling. Just as he was prepared to head upstairs to wash up, Zi Yi turned around.

Zi Yi saw Lu Jingye standing by the door and her eyes were beaming with joy. “Ah Jing, you’re home.”

With that, she held the pudding and came over.

Zi Yi followed him. While walking, she scooped up a spoonful of pudding and fed it to him.

Lu Jingye ate it and said, “It’s too sweet.”

“How is it sweet? It’s clearly pineapple flavored.”

Zi Yi knew that he was not fond of sweet food and so, she did not continue feeding him.

Both of them made their way upstairs together.
