Chapter 16

Selena pov

"Look what the cat brought in!" Comes Emma's voice the moment I step inside the house. I'm naked

and bloody and all I want right now is a hot shower.

" you could have warned me!" I just state to her and walk by, heading up the stairs and to my room.

I hear her running after me and when I come inside my room I head right over to my bathroom.

"I did warn you to not go there! I was you who didn't listen" she says when I turn on the shower and

wait for the water to get warmer before stepping inside.

"But you knew!" I say to her and look angry at her. She just starts to laugh and I roll my eyes at her.

I'm not surprised about her behavior at all. I bet she finds this really funny!

"Yes, I did! And maybe I thought it was time you saw that nice piece of as again. How did you like

your time with your mate" she says and wiggles her eyebrows at me. Pinching the bridge of my

nose and take a deep breath.

" you know what! I don’t want him. I give him to you! Then you can enjoy his nice as if you want" I

say and get inside the shower. I hear her burst out laughing, I just shake my head and start washing

up

It's a good thing she is one of my best friends or she would be in deep problems by now.

I rescued her and her daughter a while after I had been forced out of his kingdom. She had lived as

a slave for two years with her little daughter, I run into them when I was looking for a new place to

stay. She was badly beaten up and chained to a tree with her daughter. I couldn't leave her there

and I ended up killing the three men who owned her. I was sick to my stomach by everything she

had to endure during her years.

But none of them managed to break her spirit. She is fun and caring, we are as close as we can be.

She and her daughter is a part of my family.

I'm very lucky I ran into her and her daughter. Emma is a witch with the sight to see some of the

future, but right now I'm about to question her friendship. She could have warned me to not go

close to the fight, and tell me what would happen if I did.

Rinsing out my shampoo I turn off the shower and walk out. Emma is still standing by the sink and

hands me a towel.

I take it and start drying my body.

"I'm not sure we are friends anymore. I could have died in that prison!" I say and look angry at her.

She just giggles at Me and I walk over to brush my teeth.

"I knew you wouldn't! Or I would have forced you to stay!" She says

"1 didn't want to meet him or had to do what I did to my brother!" I say and rinse my mouth before

walking out of the room and heading over to my closet. Pulling out some clothes I start to get

dressed.

"I thought it was fun! He got to see what he tossed away." She states and takes a seat on my bed.

"Emma can you be serious! It's not funny" I say and walk back to my bathroom and hang my towel.

"I think it's funny! I would love to have been there and actually seen his face when he found out it

was his mate. And I did warn you" she says when I walk by and shake my head. We aren't going

anywhere whit this and since I have been away for several days I know there is a lot of catching up

to do.

Opening my door I walk out and Emma comes beside me. Heading down the stairs and to the

kitchen I just need to grab something to eat.

"Where are Jessie and Jacob?" I ask her before we come into the kitchen. Finding Sari cooking some

potions, she is an older witch and was one of the first who helped me when I was on the run. I don't

think I would be here today if it wasn't for her.

She has helped me with everything and figured out how to handle being a white wolf.

"They are out and training right now,” Emma says while Sari comes over to hug me.

"Glad you are back! We need you here" she says and releases me from the hug before she turns

back to the stove.

"1 would have been back a lot sooner if just Emma here had told me what would happen!" I state

and glare at her before walking over to the fridge and making myself a sandwich.

Sari looks stern at Emma and she takes a step back.

"What! I just thought it was time she met her mate again and show him what he tossed away" she

says and walks over to the coffee machine.

"Mabie it's not for you to interfere!” Sari tells her and I just look between the standoff of these two

while I take a bite of my sandwich.

"Or It's time someone does something!" She says and hands me a cup of coffee. Sari just shakes her

head and I sigh.

"I don't want anything to do with him!" I say

" you can't live your whole life alone Selena! You need a mate” Emma says and I roll my eyes at her.

" you are wrong! I don't need a man in my life. I'm perfectly fine being on my own" and that's the

truth, I'm happy the way my life is right now, and down want anyone to come and mess it up.

" And who is going to take over all this one day? You need an heir!"
