Chapter 121

Angela’s POV

The following morning. I woke up with a terrible headache. It was the light streaming in from the window through the curtains that got me on my feet. I dragged the curtains closed to block the sun from penetrating into the room.

What room? Whose room?

It took

my brain a few seconds to comprehend where I was. I closed my eyes for a little while then opened it back to take in my surroundings. I was in a room I hadn’t been in before. I didn’t know where I was The room was painted black and the furniture was black and also expensive.

Panicked, I ran for the door. I grabbed the doorknob but someone behind was faster than me. I was ready to scream when the door opened and Darius walked in.

“Ah, the drunken princess is awake,” he said with an eyebrow raised and a playful smirk on his face

“Where are we?”

He frowned. “The Alpha’s mansion. I’m guessing you were too drunk to have noticed us coming here last night”

It was my turn to frown. Last night! The last thing I remember was drinking with Halle at my mom’s place.

“You got pretty drunk and for the first time, you mind linked me and told me to come get you and Reina. You didn’t tell me you got your wolf but don’t worry you told me practically everything last night,

I suddenly hiccuped. A memory of me yapping away and laughing like a lunatic rushed to my brain and I hiccuped again.

“Shit Shid Shit. 1 ran my hand through my hair and numbled, “Fuck!”

Darius suddenly moved closer to me and whispered. “You should’ve told me you loved touching yourself i carlier. I love helping our in situations like that

I turned to glare at him and then cursed out at myself. How fucking drunk did I get?

“I was lying,” I answered, trying to do some damage control

to the thoughts of me in the shower

“I would’ve believed you but I don’t want to and then you told me was your crush even before we found our we were mates,

“Shut up,” I yelled.

He laughed. He parted my hair gently. You were such a cute drunk and a dirty one. You didn’t let me give you a shower because you thought you would jump me in the shower and impregnate me. The thing is I wouldn’t have minded that at all

“I swear that I’ll rip your throat out if you don’t stop talking.”

“You should’ve taken that advice last night baby,”

“You are a terrible. The words became stuck in my mouth when I felt a bile coming up my throat. I rushed to the bathroom to throw up. Darius was right behind me. He held my hair up and caressed my back. I almost leaned to the toilet but Darius quickly held me up to my feet and made ne sit instead.

He came back into the room with a bottle of water and a pill.

I collected the pill and used it. I didn’t think the hangover was the reason why I threw up. Lihrew up yesterday morning as well and at least, I wasn’t hungover.

“You should take a shower, baby. You really need to get rid of the alcohol smell,

“Did I throw up last night too?”

He shook his head. “No baby. Your throat was busy with words,

I didn’t know when I laughed. He kissed my forchrad.

Chapter 121

I held his hand before he could leave. “Why are we back here, Darius?

“Because it’s empty now. No one is here to disturb us or act crazy anymore, and there’s enough space for us,”

“I thought you said you would stop being the Alpha here after Ryker’s been stopped,”

“There’s been a change of plans. The elders want me to stay and I think I should for now but if you don’t want us to, we can always leave, alright? Don’t worry baby, no more resistance group bullshit. We’re all on the same page now.”

I smiled. I loved that. I wanted us to stay here.

“I love it here, I revealed.

“I know you do and I want you wherever you’ll be happy. So, well stay here.”

He left to prepare me breakfast as he’d promised.

I took a long, soothing shower and left the room as well.

I walked past Reina’s room. She was busy drawing on her table. Once she noticed my presence, she looked up at me, twisted her lips just like Darius would, and shook her head.

My eyes went wide as another memory from last night hit me. I was holding Reina’s cheek, pulling and saying jargon while Darius scrambled around to unlock the door. She kept begging me to leave her cheek but I smothered her with kisses

“Babes, you’re judging me, aren’t you?” I asked her.

She

gave me a side look. “No, I’m not”

“Those eyes, I mumbled.

She waved me off. “Go eat mama. Everyone else has eaten,”

“I’ll be back.” I told her.

As I got downstairs, I could see Mason, Azalea, and Velicia in the living room.

“Morning, Angela, Mason was the first to talk before he walked up to me

“Morning, everyone,”

The others said something that I didn’t hear because of how intense Mason was staring at me

“You got drunk last night. Was it because of what I told your

I shrugged. “I don’t think so. There were too many reasons so I can’t blame it on one. Also, I didn’t mean to get drunk,”

“Did you happen to tell Darius?”

“I told him a lot of things. I’m hoping that wasn’t one of the things I told him.”

Darius came out of the kitchen just in time to see Mason and me talking. I walked towards him.

“Thanks for breakfast.”

“There are better ways to say thank you. Maybe say, one of those things you mentioned last night, he winked at me and I squinted my eyes at him.

“You’re taking it too far, Beast. Do you know that your daughter judged me with her eyes just now?”

We were only standing a few inches away from each other. He wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me even closer.

“What did she say?”

“Not one word but she said a lot more with her eyei,

“She’s my daughter after all and not to blame her, you really went all out yesterday,

Tm a careless drunk. I hope you both forgive me!

He nuzzled his nose into my throat and when I looked back up, he had a weird look on his face

“I didn’t notice yesterday because of the alcohol on you but something’s been different about your smell for a while but now it’s quite stronger,”

“Reina said I smelled different yesterday. Maybe it’s my cologne. I remember I changed my soap,”

“I don’t think it’s those things baby,”

I frowned. “What could it be then?”

“You have the mark of the dragon king.”

He laughed. “I’m sorry, I was kidding, 1 hit his chest

“I think you’re pregnant,” I was about to take a seat when he said those words.

“What?” I jumped out of my seat, I almost tripped but he caught me.
