CHAPTER 136
A Love Reawakened The Alpha’s Regret
Chapter 136
BOOK 2 CHAPTER &
Rowanâs POV
The real reason why I asked for Harriette to be sent to my office was because I needed to confirm if we were really mates.
After I found out we were mates that night, I left abruptly and questioned every superior being as to why my fated mate was right here in my Rogue
Pack.
I wanted to go back out there and tell my men to turn her down but thatâll defile every purpose for which the pack was founded. Id promised not to turn back anyone who needed our help or safety with genuine intentions. Refugees were allowed into the pack only an one criterion; if their Intentions were right.
All through the night, I didnât sleep. I tossed and turned around thinking of what I should make of what happened. I stopped thinking too much about it at some point and just slept off
When she finally came into my office, the bond between us was intense. My eyes sought for hers all through the little conversation we had but she looked elsewhere.
She was beautiful. Stunning if Iâm to say it clearly. Iâm sure the first Luna had nothing on her in terms of beauty but she had this painful look in her
So painful I could feel my heart being torn apart.
I was clouded with disappointment because she didnât recognize the matebond for reasons I couldnât care about but at the same time, I was happy-
That made the burden less heavy.
Having a mate was a fucking good thing but it wasnât for someone as messed up as me
And I wouldnât reject her. I wasnât that heartless to reject a girl who couldnât even recognize the matebond. That be really despicable and evil. Since she decided to stay in the pack, I would do everything possible to stay away from her and make sure she stayed away from me.
I was bad news, ask my father. I was poison, ask the palace and I was death, ask
my
mother.
I didnât want to find out what I would be to someone like her.
âSay back and report to me once sheâs awake,
I instructed Mika. We were standing in front of one of the rooms at the packâs hospital. Harmente suddenly fainted before we ended our conversation
âWe should wait for the doctor and hear what he has to say,
I turned to her and scratched my eyes. âYou should wait. I wouldnât,â
That was all I said before I left the hospital. There was no need for me to wait behind and talk to her.
To me, she was a nobody. To her, I was just an Alpha
Why did it somehow fucking hurt because she didnât recognize me!
My heart throbbed and I rubbed my chest as though it would stop the pain but it didnât.
I returned to my office and began pacing the room.
Why?
The little bastard in my head, my wolf, wanted me to go back and wait for Harriette to wake
âShut up, you fucking bastard. She doesnât even recognize you, I roared at my wolf angrily. More reasons why you should be near her. The closer you are, the faster itâll be for her to recognize your stupid, sorry a
He growled back.
I smirked.
My wolf, Thome knew who the boss was but sometimes, he didnât back down because of his stubbornness. Thorne had never been submissive. He became possessive and heartless because he had to.

Chapter 130
Because we had to
Back off. Thorne, and trust me for once. I growled angrily
âGo to her or I will, he threatened.
I never took Thorneâs threats lightly. He was too psychotic to be taken for granted. He never made empty promises and I was a big fan of his in that aspect. He knew I loved that part of him and he never ceased to use the opportunity to his own good.
A knock resounded on my office door and I pushed Thorne to the back of my
head
âWhat do you want
I yelled.
âCan I talk to you. Alpha?â
It was Mika
âCome in.â She opened the door and walked in with a smirk on her face.
âYou look disturbed and you had the same look on your face yesterday, whatâs wrong?â
She asked.
Shot! She just touched a touchy subject at the time when I was fighting to get rid of Thorne.
Menacingly, I charged towards her with a loud grow!
âFuck off,â I commanded.
Mika frowned. Thome.â She called
I closed
ed my eyes for
for a bit to calm down. âNo! What do you want? I thought I asked you to wait till sheâs awake,â I asked impatiently. She had thought it was my wolf in control of my body and I could see the fear on her face.
She pulled herself together,
âYes, but Iâm here to discuss about her,â
1 grabbed hold of the back of my neck.
âWhat about her
âWe havenât assigned her to any room or any job yet Did she agree to join our fighters?â
I didnât really leave Harriette with much of a choice. I knew for a fact that she wasnât going to reject joining our fighters. Her sister had already been accepted into the pack and from the report I received, they were close. Harriette wouldnât want to leave her sister.
In a simple sentence, I used her weakness against her.
âshe acceptedâ
âWhich room!
I snapped my gate at Mika. She must be joking right?
âWhy are you asking? Do whatever you want with that,â I answered.
âI just needed your go ahead to do that.â
I turned to raise an eyebrow
Mika was a crazy ass bitch and sometimes, I regret bringing her into the pack even though her decisions end up being the best.
Mika left the office and I was left alone with Thorne again. I walked up to my desk and sat down.
Suddenly, my mind went to the mirror behind me. I turned to the mirror and out of nowhere I could see Harriette. I growled lowly as I took in her figure.
Something wasnât right, I thought.
I looked away for two seconds and looked back at the mirror. There was no more image of hers All I could see was me.
