CHAPTER 140
A Love Reawakened The Alpha’s Regret
Chapter 140
BOOK 2: CHAPTER 10
âCommander Mika!â
I half screamed as I stared at the Beta in the middle of the house.
I wasnât expecting to see any familiar faces at that place. After Gideon told me about how deadly the place was, I was expecting the wors
Maybe Iâd be lucky to leave the place alive. Iâd thought.
âDonât look so surprised to see me here,â
Mika waved off my shock as if it was nothing
âGideon told me only deadly people stay here I blurted out.
Mika raised an eyebrow.
âGideon was only messing with you. This isnât the Seekers,â Mika finally told me and I took a deep breath,
If this wasnât The Seekers, then where was it?
âThis is the fighterâs training house. Itâs big and fancy but donât be deceived by the look. Almost every door leads to a fighting and training room. We have level I for beginners, level 2 for intermediate fighters and it continues like that to level 5,
All she said didnât make sense to me.
âWhat about the punishment? Am I not getting punished?â
Mika shrugged. âAlpha Rowan suddenly changed his mind and asked for you to be brought here instead. I guess youâll be punished another day,â
âWhy
am I here now?â
I asked her. I really wished I could ser Alpha Roman so I could question him about his decisions.
Was he messing with me!
âTo join our fighters. As originally planned,â
âWill I live here now! There were two rooms on my paper, I asked since I never got to solve the mystery surrounding that one.
She cocked her eyebrow and gave me a side look
Just stick to your one room tonightâ
She advised. I nodded. âThe other room was a temporary emor,â she added.
I frowned at the term temporary error What does that even meant
âWhat level do you think you are in fighting? Level 1 or 2 or 3 Mika suddenly asked as we walked towards a row of doors.
âI honestly donât know how to fight,â
I lied again. This time, I held tightly to the hem of my shirt as if it could save me.
âYou know how to hunt, right?â I smiled nervously. âThen, it shouldnât be hard to fight, just think of the other person as an animal you want on your dinner plate,â
My eyes opened wide. Was she just asking me to kill!
âThatâs extreme, I murmured under my breath.
âJust take it easyâ
She advised
I shook my head ferociously. âI canât do it,â I said.
Iâve already done one thing to jeopardize my mission. I couldnât afford to make any other mistakes. I couldnât go back home without saving Luke. He was my love and saving him was the first thing on my list. Thatâs how it was supposed to be
Chapter 140
âDrag her in by the hair if you have to,â
A new, deep voire commanded from behind me,
Turned to see
ee Alpha Box
Rowan standing there with Gideon.
âSheâs a bit reluctanc
Rowan stared at me for a second before he looked away. That one second felt like forever. Something about him pulled me to him but I just donât know what.
Tim sure she remembers the agreement we had, itâs either she fights with us or she leaves us. You have just three minutes to make that decision,â
Rowan and Gideon opened the door to my right and walked into the room, disappearing as if he was never there.
Mika looked at me and shrugged before she followed them.
I couldnât walk away.
I had to save Luke. That was my responsibility as his betrothed. I bit down on my lips and enunted my fingers, trying to think about the chances.
I looked around the building one more time and my eyes glued to a painting hanging by the wall.
Why did it look so familiar? Why does the stroke
oke feel like mine? A stupid, ridiculous image flashed through my head and I closed my eyes, pushing the thoughts to the back of my head. There was no way I could paint or drac.
Slowly and reluctantly, I followed Mikaâs foorsteps and opened the door. She wasnât kidding, it was truly a training room.
It was a vast, rugged space. The walls were made of dark stone, scratched and scarred from countless fights. The floor was covered with thick mats for handâtoâhand combat, but parts of it had been torn open with claws. In one corner, thereâs a rack of weaponsâswords, axes, and specially designed arm guards. It was nothing like Iâd seen before. They were weapons Iâd always wished to have but could never get. Heavy punching bags and dummies shaped like beasts are scattered across the room, their surfaces clawed and shredded from training sessions.
If Level 2 looked like this, what would Level 5 look like?
A strange lady was standing in the middle of the ring. Rowan was sitting far away from the ring with his eyes glued at a punching bag. The moment I walked in, Mika urged me to walk closer.
âWelcome to level 2. Harri. If you fall, weâll take you back to level L. If you pass, you move forward to level 3 but if thereâs a tie, you stay hereâ
A tie? Was that even possible! The lady I was about to fight looked more muscular than I was. She looked as though sheâd trained all her life. âWhat do you say?â Mika asked
This is unfair,â I complained bitterly. This is ridiculous. I can work in your kitchen
Mika smirked. âEveryoneâs got a role around here and from the report weâve received from the kitchen, since youâve helped around there, you hate
I hated kitchen duties but if Luke hadnât gotten stabbed, I wouldâve learned to love kitchen duties because that would be my new life.
Mika collected my bag and patted my shoulder.
I walked towards the middle and stood a few feets away from the lady.
âOne and only rule; donât shift.â
One big man standing at a corner said, his voice resonating across the room.
The girl nacked me first, throwing punches my way. I didnât throw a punch back but I tried to block as much impact as possible.
When she finally punched my stomach, I fell to the ground and held my stomach.
That shit fucking hurts. She was going to kill me if care wasnât taken.
âYouâre not even putting up a fight, you p*ssy.
My opponent spat at me. I stayed on the door, hoping she would back off but s
she didnât
âI beg your parents didnât even want your stupid, sorry self. Did they die somewhere Did they dump you or throw you into some forest so you
could die?
Chapter 140
She yelled into face. I struggled to stand up to my feet again,
She was himing every possible part of my life that I hated. I wouldâve loved to punch her mouth for what she said but I stopped myself.
I didnât even know who my parents were or if they thumped me.
âWhy are you trying to project your pathetic life on me? Un? I didnât
It ask for you to grow up alone without love,
Ispat back and laughed.
What happened next was like a flash. It happened within ten seconds.

ut that b*tch just slashed my hand with her claws.
