CHAPTER 160
A Love Reawakened The Alpha’s Regret
Chapter 159
BOOK 2: CHAPTER 29
Rowanâs POV
Harriette was still in denial after showing her the date. She believed today was the day after the accident happened.
âWhat was the last thing you remember?â Mika asked her again.
âGetting into the car with Thorne and we crashed into the mountainside,â
She gave the same answer.
I called Mika in when I didnât understand what was going on with Harriette anymore. I wanted to make sure I wasnât imagining things and that I wasnât losing my mind.
âWhoâs Thorne?â
The werewolf king suddenly asked from the door.
My eyes snapped to where he was standing and I walked towards him. I pushed him away from the door and locked the door behind me, leaving Mika and Harriette in the room.
âWhat are you doing here?â
I asked angrily. The last thing I wanted was for him to hear us talk about Thorne. His curiosity had no limit, and he knew just how to investigate until he found a meaningful explanation.
His only problem was he was also careless with a lot of things. For example, his child. That is, me.
I looked around my apartment to see that his security details were also inside. I groaned.
âWe talked about this. You donât go beyond your boundary,â I reminded him of what he promised. âThis is beyond your boundary,â
âYou also promised to spend ten hours of your day with me. I didnât see you all through last night,â
He suddenly complained.
My eyes went wide in disbelief. âWhy are you craving for attention?â I spat.
He placed his hand on my shoulder. I growled. He quickly removed it.
âIâm your father. Iâm allowed to touch you,â
I shook
my
head.
âYouâre not an exception to that rule,â I warned him.
âListen, Rowan. I had to ask Mika to bring me here because you were nowhere to be foundâ
Mika, right? Was it until I killed her before she realized she was doing too much?
âWhat do you want?â I asked again. I had so much to deal with but I wasnât ready to deal with the King that morning.
âCall me dad, is that too much to ask?â He asked.
I deepened my frown but remained silent. He got the memo.
âFine! I wonât ask for too much. Whoâs the girl?â He asked, his tone changing from being playful to being serious all of a sudden.
I raised an eyebrow, reminding him he was doing too much again.
âIâm serious, Rowan. Who is she? She looks familiar and from the little I heard, I think I might have an idea as to why she canât remember what happened over the past few days.â

Chapter 159
I cocked my eyebrow. âSheâs nobody. Stay out of my packâs business,â
Mika came out of my room.
âSheâs one of the two girls who came into our pack weeks ago. I mentioned them last night,â she replied to my dad,
âMika?â I growled, warning her. She gave me an apologetic smile before she shrugged.
She pulled my hand and we walked to a secluded part of the room.
âI think somethingâs wrong with her. Sheâs bubbly,â
Mika said with disgust. It was unusual. Harriette, whom we knew, wasnât that jovial. It was a relief for me that I wasnât the only one who found that weird.
âI donât think sheâs pretending. She really doesnât remember,â Mika informed me. âAnd it isnât the first time,â
I was perplexed. âWhen was the first time?â
I asked her again.
âThe day Thorne came to the art studio, she painted something but when I showed it to her the next day, she said it wasnât hers. She claimed she didnât paint it,â
âIs she a Dreamwalker?â The Werewolf King suddenly asked.
I groaned as I turned to glare at him. âEavesdropping, now?â I complained.
âRowan. Youâre the only one who can disrespect me this much and Iâll take it only because youâre my son. If it was another person, their heads would roll at my feet and Iâd walk to my throne while stepping on their blood,â
âThen go back to your fucking palace and leave me alone,â I yelled through gritted teeth.
The entire house fell silent.
He turned to Mika. âIs she a Dreamwalker?â He asked again, ignoring the fact that I just yelled at him.
âWhat does that mean?â Mika asked.
I knew what he was talking about but there was no way Harriette would be something like that. According to the classes I took as a werewolf prince, their kind of species has been distinct for a long while. No one even knew about them in the werewolf world except for the Royal family.
âCan I ask her?â he asked. Mika looked at me for permission. I looked away. I collapsed into a chair. My hatred for this man was getting the worst out of me and I needed to control my anger.
Mika opened the door to my room. I heard him ask Harriette the same question and the girl was even oblivious to what he
meant.
âDreamwalkers are gifted werewolves who can walk in dreams. Theyâre sleeping but in their dreams, theyâre awake and can walk around the pack. They can know what people around them are doing when theyâre sleeping. Sometimes, their dreams arenât what is happening presently, itâs a future occurrence. They can also travel through peopleâs dreams,â
Harriette became silent.
âI donât think so,â she finally answered.
My father and Mika came out of the room and locked the door behind him.
âSheâs lying,â I agreed with him,
âFrom her body language, it was obvious that she was lying. Sheâs either a Dreamwalker or she knows someone who is,â
âShe has a sister,â Mika told the king.
He snapped his fingers. âIt could be her or her sister,â

Chapter 159
âHow is that possible?â He asked again. âThe last of them died some years ago,â
âWho is she?â He asked.
I shrugged. âThatâs what Iâm trying to find out,â
âDo you know why she doesnât remember anything?â Mika asked him.
âIf sheâs a Dreamwalker, then itâs definitely possible. Itâs one of the easiest things they do. Sheâs probably erasing her memory every time she interacts with her wolf. Sheâs still a novice, a baby Dreamwalker. She needs training, but not in a place like this. Thatâs if sheâs the Dreamwalker. If sheâs not, I guess she has some deformity as a wolf,â
He explained.
I suddenly remembered the night I caught her scent outside the Alphaâs building and the mark that appeared underneath both of our chins by morning. Also, the day I saw her appearing in my mirror without her being there. Putting both scenarios together, it was possible that Harriette and not Ella was the Dreamwalker,â
âWhat do you suggest or where do you suggest?â I asked him. âThatâs if sheâs the Dreamwalker,â I quickly added so as not to raise any suspicions. Still, I couldnât believe I was about to get help from my sperm donor.
âStay away news,â
from her, Rowan. If you want to protect your little, rogue pack, stay away from her. People with her ability are bad
I stared at my laptop screen. I wasnât really interested in whatever was on the screen but I was deep in thought.
âAh! This girl!â The King suddenly pointed at the painting on the wall. The one painted by Luna Angela. The woman had been looking for her daughter for more than twelve years.
âHave they found her?â I asked him.
He turned to me and grinned.
âI think theyâre about to,â
