A Love Reawakened The Alpha’s Regret
Chapter 81
Apologies for the late update guys. I wish I can share what happened with you guys b
but I wouldnât want to bore you out. Thank you for the support.
Dariusâ POV
By the time I returned back to the hotel, it was almost midnight. I dismissed my men and asked them all to get a good nightâs rest including the ones left behind at the hotel for Angelaâs safety.
Although Iâd thought Angela would be asleep by the time I returned, the scenario I met was different. I opened the door to see her sitting on the bed, holding the stone the late woman gave her. She looked up at me as soon as she heard the door open and I saw her eyes filled with tears.
My hands were a bit b l o d y so I quickly hid them behind my back.
âI think Iâm a bad person, Darius,â
âWhy would you say something like that?â I asked her. She was being too hard on herself.
âShe remembered me even when she was dying and I totally forgot about her,â
e like we think. Even if we lose memories of them, our soul always remembers

them,â
*She wanted to pay for my therapy after what happened but I said no.5
âWhy?â I hated therapy but I still wouldnât undermine its effectiveness.
She didnât have to. She insisted and I lied to her that I already did,â
I sat at a distance from her because I didnât want her to notice the blood stain on my hand and my shi
âI didnât want to go to therapy,â
âTherapy is helpful sometimes,â
âHave you ever gone to one?â She asked.
I smirked as a bad memory y came to my head. âAs a child, my father thought I was a disturbed pup. He took me for woll therapy but nothing changed. It even got worse. I pranked the therapist and he ended up falling down his office stairs and that was the end of therapy for me. From that moment onwards, my father decided that I had no hope,â
âI didnât go to therapy because it was a human world and they wouldnât just be able to relate to werewolves and also, I was scared I would be blamed,â
âLike the police did,â
âYes. It was unâ¦â she paused. I clicked my tongue and almost cursed out because I realized my mistake.
âHow did you know?â
âWhat?â
âYou just said the police blamed me, right?â
Ishrugged, trying to cover it up. âIt was an assumption, donât take it too seriously,â
I closed my eyes as I heard her marching towards me. All of a sudden, I was worried about what her reaction would be. Maybe I should we talked to her

first before taking that step.
She gasped and I was forced to look at her. She was staring at my hand. It wasnât even that

âWhat happened? Whose blood is that?â She asked worriedly. I could see thec

creases on her forehead and the way she looked at me as if itâd just dropped
âItâs not my blood,â I answered.
âWhose blood is it then? Itâs on your skin. It should be your blood,â she argued.
âIâm telling the truth. Itâs not my blood. Itâs somebody elseâs blood. Youâll believe me after I take a shower and you see that itâs really not mine,â
She glared at me before I could even stand up from the bed.
âWhat did you do, Darius? Did you kill someone?â
I smirked. âNo, I wouldnât commit a murder in a human world. If I was really interested in killing that b a s ta r d, I wouldâve dragged him to the nearest werewolf pack and get rid of him,â
Her mouth dropped open. âWhat b a a r d are you talking about?â
If I lie or ignore it, she still wouldnât drop the matter so it would be better to just tell now. âThe b a s t ad who hurt you,â I muttered.
She ran her hands through her hair and mumbled some incoherent words under her breath,
âYouâre not being serious right now,â
âHe hurt you. Am I just supposed to sit back and let him get away with what he did? He had the audacity to babble about it in front of me,â I clenched my fist as I remembered how the b a t a r d was saying trash.
âWhat did he say?â
âNothing that mattered. He got taught a lesson and thatâs all that mattered,â
âViolence is never always the answer,
I held her face and kissed her forehead. âYes, baby, I know. But itâs the only language I understand especially for people like that a s h o l e,â
âYou couldâve gotten hurt,â
She was worried about me.
âMy Angel. As you can see, Iâm perfectly fine. You donât have to worry about a thing.â
âBefore you do such a s t u p i d thing next time, let me know or else Iâll kill you,â
âDying by your hands doesnât sound like a bad idea,â
She laughed a bit,
âYouâre a terrible person, Darius,â
âAnd youâre my Angel. Now, let me go take that shower. I reek of his scent and I hate that,â

She nodded and moved away from me a little. I smirked and walked into the bathroom.
While I was there, I tried to make up my mind about the book I found in the cave of the Resistance group. It was funny how I looked for them for so many months and the answer was just a few miles away from me. I was more concerned about what to do with them. A part of me wanted them dead and another part of me wanted to resolve this in a way that Angela had suggested.
Whatever it was, I should better come up with a solution before we return to the pack by morning.
I walked back into the room to see Angela pacing the space.
âWhatâs wrong?â I asked. She looked up at me and smiled.
âNothing. Iâm just thinking Iâm ready to return to my art,â
âYou want to draw again,â
She nodded excitedly. âI just suddenly felt this surge of confidence. Like I can do it again,â
I c c ked an eyebrow. âAnd you said violence isnât always the answer,â
Maybe it wasnât but the new confidence must have something to do with the fact that Iâd attacked that man. She knew she was safe from him. That
monster wouldnât be able to get her anymore.
âIt isnât,â
âI promise to throw you an exhibition event,â
âIâm not that good,â
âYouâre so humble,â I eyed her. âAnd hot as well,â
She laughed.
âOne step at a time baby,â
âOne step at a time,â she agreed.
