CHAPTER 99
A Love Reawakened The Alpha’s Regret
Chapter 99
Dariusâ POV
After we all separated from Jethroâs territory, I didnât waste much time before I went looking for Stanley who was very much. surprised to see me.
Alpha.â
He walked closer to me as fast as possible. I met him on the beach. Iâd first went to the hotel where Iâd left him days before and the receptionist told me Iâd meet him at the beach.
âItâs looking good out here,â
âI thought something bad happened. I didnât know how to go back to the pack without you,â
He cried.
I raised an eyebrow. âSomething bad happened but fortunately not to me. Itâs a good thing you waited,â
I couldnât wait to go back home to see Angela and Reina. My girls! I know theyâll be so worried about me and that was the reason why I should go home as soon as possible.
âShould we leave for the pack by morning?â He asked.
It was approaching midâafternoon. âNo, we should go home now
âThe sunset here is really dope,â
I nodded. âYou can wait behind to watch it. Meet me in the pack by morning,â I advised before walking away.
As I walked, I could hear his hurried footsteps behind me. I allowed him five minutes to get his stuff from the hotel before I entered the car and drove us back to the pack. He wanted to drive but I was in too much of a hurry to think about his offer not to talk of accepting it.
We arrived at the pack by evening and the first place I went to was home. I disregarded all attempts to strike up a conversation with me. I knew Reina would be back from school and my girls would be home. If I didnât find them at home, Iâd definitely see them at Angelaâs momâs place. I couldnât wait to have them in my arms.
I threw my front door open, happy it wasnât locked and a sign that Angela was home. To my surprise, I met Daisy at my home, wearing a shirt that belonged to me, and had a cup of coffee in her hand.
She was just as shocked to see me.
âAlpha Darius,â
âWhat the hell are you doing in my house?â I asked angrily,
Daisy was the last person I wanted to see. Iâd lost all respect for her when I found out she was a member of the Resistance group. Her reason for joining was unknown to me because I didnât bother to ask.
âI⦠I was⦠I was..â she trailed off with uncertainty. Her words were mixed with jargon.
âI asked you a fucking question, Daisy,â
She dropped the mug on the table and walked up to me.
âShe left and I thought I should clean up a bit before you come back,â

âApha Darins, thereâs been a bit of an issue.â
I nummed away from Daisy to Azzalez. Whatâs going on?
Azalea had to pause because Daisy nood up and dashed out of the door.
âBrit was brought to the pack almost dead last mig and MadamAngela went to look for Dr. Zack because he said he had importar information about what happened to Brit. She left a few hours ago and after I didnât hear anything from her, I oraced her back to the restaurant
He stopped talking
And? I asked impatiently.
I saw the car she left in The driver is dead but Madam was nowhere to be found
A light went off in my head. The thoughts of Angela being in danger took every bit of strength from me. I took in a hard breath. I warned her about Zack and for Angela to leave the pack to see him, she must have been desperate.

Chapter 99
âWhen exactly did she leave?
âA few hours ago,
âDid anyone at the restaurant see anything?â
âWe met a dead waitress inside the restaurant as well. Aside from her, not even the smallest form of life was found,â
As I was standing there, I got a call from Ryker. I dropped the call and he called back again. I wasnât in the mood to talk to the son of a bitch.
A message popped him from him. Angrily I swiped it up and as I read the content, I saw red.
//Iâm sure youâre looking for your mate, well, sheâs here with me//
1 called him immediately.
âGive her the phone,â I commanded.
âOr else you wonât believe me, right?â
âIf youâre bluffing, itâll be in your best interest to drop this call,â
âGive me a few minutes,â
With bated breath, I waited for the unknown. I hoped he was bluffing. I hope Angela was not with Ryker. I hope Iâm not forced to bow down for my demons to take over because I would go to hell and back just to hurt whoever touched my
woman.
âDarius,â Angela cried, her voice trembling with fear. Hearing Angelaâs voice from the phone, I felt a surge of panic and helplessness. My girl was in danger and the thought of her being possibly hurt sent a chill down my spine.
Before I could say anything else to Angela, Ryker took the phone back.
âDo you believe me now? Iâm guessing youâll take me seriously this time,â
âSo serious youâll hate yourself for ever doing this,â
âI promise to take so damn good care of her till you give me what I want. Iâll make sure she feels at homeâ
