After we all separated from Jethro’s territory, I didn’t waste much time before I went looking for Stanley who was very much. surprised to see me.

He walked closer to me as fast as possible. I met him on the beach. I’d first went to the hotel where I’d left him days before and the receptionist told me I’d meet him at the beach.

“I thought something bad happened. I didn’t know how to go back to the pack without you,”

I raised an eyebrow. “Something bad happened but fortunately not to me. It’s a good thing you waited,”

I couldn’t wait to go back home to see Angela and Reina. My girls! I know they’ll be so worried about me and that was the reason why I should go home as soon as possible.

“Should we leave for the pack by morning?” He asked.

It was approaching mid–afternoon. “No, we should go home now

I nodded. “You can wait behind to watch it. Meet me in the pack by morning,” I advised before walking away.

As I walked, I could hear his hurried footsteps behind me. I allowed him five minutes to get his stuff from the hotel before I entered the car and drove us back to the pack. He wanted to drive but I was in too much of a hurry to think about his offer not to talk of accepting it.

We arrived at the pack by evening and the first place I went to was home. I disregarded all attempts to strike up a conversation with me. I knew Reina would be back from school and my girls would be home. If I didn’t find them at home, I’d definitely see them at Angela’s mom’s place. I couldn’t wait to have them in my arms.

I threw my front door open, happy it wasn’t locked and a sign that Angela was home. To my surprise, I met Daisy at my home, wearing a shirt that belonged to me, and had a cup of coffee in her hand.

She was just as shocked to see me.

“What the hell are you doing in my house?” I asked angrily,

As I was standing there, I got a call from Ryker. I dropped the call and he called back again. I wasn’t in the mood to talk to the son of a bitch.

“Darius,” Angela cried, her voice trembling with fear. Hearing Angela’s voice from the phone, I felt a surge of panic and helplessness. My girl was in danger and the thought of her being possibly hurt sent a chill down my spine.

Before I could say anything else to Angela, Ryker took the phone back.

“Do you believe me now? I’m guessing you’ll take me seriously this time,”

“So serious you’ll hate yourself for ever doing this,”

“I promise to take so damn good care of her till you give me what I want. I’ll make sure she feels at home”
