Cole heaved a deep sigh. But she didn’t expect what he did next. He got down on his knees.

“What the hell are you doing?” She said, taking a step back when she saw that he was about to touch her leg or feet. She wasn’t sure which.

“I’m tired.”

“I am tired of going back and forth with you. I know I fucked up in the past and I regret it so much. I don’t blame you for being brutal to me. I know I deserve it but please find a place in your heart to forgive me.”

Hailey sighed, trying her hardest to keep her tears at bay.

Cole shook his head.

Hailey was about to say something when the doorbell sound came through. This was past 10 pm and shel wondered who it was.

“Expecting someone?”

She sighed deeply, wishing there was something she could do to throw him out.

Regardless, Hailey made her way to the door with Cole walking behind her. She opened it and the sight of the person on the other end made Cole’s heart burn with so much jealousy.

“What is he doing here?” Cole and Tyler said in unison.

Hailey mentally facepalmed.

“What do you want, Ty? Please ignore anybody you see behind me. He was about to take his leave.”

“She rejected your proposal. Isn’t that enough proof to you?” Cole said.

Tyler glared at him.

“What the hell? You know she is married to me!” Cole stepped forward, facing Tyler. He was extremely angry. He couldn’t believe that Tyler had to ruin everything with his presence when he was almost close to making up with Hailey.”

“You mean that fake marriage?!” Tyler mocked. “It is not my fault that you don’t know how to keep your woman!”

“Fuck you!” Cole pushed Ty.

door.

Hailes shut the door before approaching them because she didn’t want anything that would wake her boys.

“Can you guys just stop this!!!!!!” She said at the top of her voice with tears rolling down her cheek. She could literally see blood rolling down from Cole’s arm which she was sure was from the gunshot wound.

Having had enough of it, she decided to intervene in the fight and everything happened so fast that Hailey saw herself landing on the floor, in so much pain.
