Return of the Crowned Heiress Chapter 458
Return of the Crowned Heiress
If the nurse hadnât come in to check on Dexter, he would have suffocated to death.
Dexter thought he would have to comfort Myra after telling her the truth, maybe even endure her wrath. Yet Myra remained unusually calm after the initial shock. She didnât refute him, nor did she blindly defend Kayla.
Dexter was both surprised and uneasy, fearing this was the calm before the storm. But instead, Myra gave him a weird look. âI guessed as much.â
Yes, she had guessed it. So, she had been avoiding Kayla and quietly questioning the nurse who had checked on Dexter when the incident happened.
Later, she stayed by Dexterâs side to take care of him. Using the excuse of being considerate of Kayla, she forbade her from coming to the hospital or even getting
close to Dexter.
Myra even secretly took Dexter to seek medical treatment without Kaylaâs knowledge.
Myraâs eyes watered and she sobbed. âI guessed it. I just didnât want to believe it.â
It wasnât until she heard Dexterâs recount that she gave up.
Myra was heartbroken. She had seen the video of Ruben dying. In that video, Kayla coldly ordered Shawn to strangle Ruben before calmly staging the crime scene. That image of her smiling while doing so was terrifying. [1
But Ruben was merely a driver to them. The guilt they felt was quickly dismissed after compensating Rubenâs family with money.
It was different this time. Kayla had tried to kill Dexter! Myra couldnât let this slide.
She heaved with anger. If Kayla were here, she might not have been able to resist hitting her! The slap Kayla got this afternoon was not enough!
And now, Myra found it laughable how Kayla had gone off with her soâcalled aunt and reconnected with her biological parents.
Back then, she had given those people 50 million just to sever their relationship with Kayla so that she would never have any connection to her biological family!
Yet now that the Fuller family had fallen on hard times, Kayla had eagerly gone back to her biological family.
But the farther Kayla went, the better. At least Myra wouldnât be tempted to slap her the next time she saw her!
âDarling, let it go. Sometimes, seeing through someone earlier is a blessing in disguise.â Dexter comforted Myra. But his voice dropped as he recalled his dream. Itâs just⦠we owe our real daughter far too muchâ¦â
Myra hesitated before stammering, âDâDo you know who saved us from those thugs that night?â
âWho?â Dexter was curious.
That night, Dexter had already collapsed when Felicia appeared. In b/

Myra said bitterly, âIt was Licia. But she wonât admit it and doesnât want to reunite with us.â
Dexter was stunned. âThere were so many people that night. Was Licia hurt?â
Myra stammered, âIâI donât think she was?â
The couple exchanged an embarrassed look.
Felicia was reluctant to call them her parents because they had wronged her first.
People had feelings. And when they had feelings, they would feel hurt.
Was Felicia hurt by this?
