Return of the Crowned Heiress Chapter 509
Return of the Crowned Heiress
To anyone else, this area might seem like nothing more than a chaotic tness. But for a tracking expert like Stanley, every footprint told a story, and every leat revealed a different scenario.
After inspecting the area, Stanley pointed in a specific direction. âMrs. Russell, if my deductions are correct, the couple you mentioned likely ran that way. One of the footprints is heavier than the other, and the two sets are close together. Itâs clearly a man and a woman.â
However, that direction was different from the route they were following.
Felicia paused for a moment. âYou continue forward. Iâll go check it out. No need to wait for me.â
âMrs. Russell?â Stanley immediately stepped in front of her. âItâs too dangerous for you to leave the team alone! We canât let you take such a risk!â Felicia shook her head. âYou keep going. Iâll catch up later.â
Stanley tried to stop her, but Felicia dodged him and disappeared into the forest.
Her figure moved swiftly through the trees, and with the thickening fog, her silhouette quickly vanished from sight.
Stanley was beyond frustrated. He tried to chase after her, but another subordinate held him back. âStanley, finding Mr. Russell is our priority. We need to move quickly!â
âBut Mrs. Russell..â Stanley protested.
âDonât worry. Havenât you noticed? Mrs. Russell isnât the fragile woman we thought she was. Sheâs no less capable than any of us,â the subordinate reassured him.
Everyone had witnessed it firsthand.
Before entering the rainforest, they had all assumed Felicia would
She never mentioned being tired or in pain, and she never fell behind. And there was also her remarkable medical skills.
Before reaching this point, one of the team members had been bitten by an unidentified yet venomous insect. Half of his body became paralyzed instantly. Felicia treated him with a few acupuncture needles and crushed a couple of leaves she had found nearby to apply as medicine. In no time man could move again, and the pain was significantly reduced.
It was nothing short of miraculous.
The subordinate added, âOnce we find Mr. Russell, we can go back and look for Mrs. Russell if she hasnât returned by then.â
Stanley sighed and had no choice but to agree.
As the fog grew thicker, the team stopped wasting time and quickened their pace toward their destination.
Felicia navigated through the dense log, occasionally spotting marks on trees that seemed to have been left by her parents.
Following these signs made tracking them much easier.
As the fog around her thickened, Felicia put on her gas mask and quickened her steps. She only knew from Sebastian that her parents had gone missing. But she didnât know how many days it had been since they disappeared.
But she knew her parents had gone bankrupt. They had no money and no influence. Even if Sebastian wanted to organize a search, he likely lacked the
resources to do so.
Her parents would surely die if she didnât act now.
Feliciaâs emotions were a mess.
She hated and resented her parents. The trauma from her two lives was something she could never fully heal from or forget.
But when faced with the thought of watching them die, her feet moved faster than her mind could decide.
Felicia chuckled bitterly. She must have done something wrong to have to endure them for two lifetimes.
