Chapter 1229 - Good friends meet again

“Fatty, when did you guys come into the valley?” Sima You Yue beamed as she saw the people come out from the valley.“We’ve been here for awhile.” Fatty Qu said, “Who would have thought that the Immortal Land would open for twenty years. That’s ten years longer than the one we had. How was it? Did you get any fortuitous encounters?”

“We encountered quite a bit!” Sima You Yue said, “Before I came back, I was wondering whether or not I would head to the academy to take a look to see if you guys were there. Who would have thought that you’d be here! Why are there only the few of you? Where are my brothers and the rest?”

“They initially wanted to come. But you know that they have a group to look after. They’re still tied up with some things at the moment.” Bei Gong Tang said.

Sima You Yue headed over and gave Bei Gong Tang a big hug, “We’ve never been separated for so many years before! I missed you guys so much!”

Bei Gong Tang patted her back, she was rather moved as well.

“Isn’t that so? When we were in the little realm, we kept saying that it would have been great if you were with us. We thought that we’d be able to meet up with you the moment we got out, but we didn’t think that we’d only be able to see you after more than ten years.”

“You’re back to wearing female clothes? Has your identity been exposed?” Ouyang Fei asked from his place behind the two of them.

Sima You Yue released Bei Gong Tang and said, “Because a few things happened, so my identity was accidentally revealed. Anyway, there isn’t much to worry about now, so if it’s female clothes then so be it.”

“Is there really no issue? The Sage Pavilion...” Wei Zi Qi was a little worried. This time, they had gotten to know about a lot more powers and were more knowledgeable about the continent. The more they knew about the Sage Pavilion, the more worried they were for Sima You Yue.

“No problem.” Sima You Yue said, “When did I ever do anything I wasn’t certain of?”

“That’s true.” Wei Zi Qi and the others nodded.

“You Yue, let me tell you...” Bei Gong Tang grabbed onto Sima You Yue’s hand and her expression suddenly changed, “Why can’t I sense your spirit energy?!”

“What?” The disciples of the valley, along with Fatty Qu and the others cried out loudly.

“You Yue, how did you lose your spirit energy?” Fatty Qu and the others were anxious. The initially joyful atmosphere took a sharp turn.

“You Yue, what’s going on? How did you...”

“Guys, relax. This is just temporary. I’ll recover soon.” Sima You Yue said.

“Just what is going on?” Ouyang Fei said with furrowed eyebrows.

“It’s just because I did something that I shouldn’t have done, which might impact things in the future, so the heavenly law gave me a punishment.” Sima You Yue said.

“How could that be?!” Everyone’s eyes bulged. They had never heard of something like this happening before.

“Do you know about Yin Lin?”

Bei Gong Tang and the others nodded. This time in the little realm, they had heard others mention about an extremely powerful divinator.

“I didn’t at first, but Yin Lin told me.” Sima You Yue said, “He said that I don’t need to worry about it. Whenever the heavenly law feels it’s right, they will take away the suppression.”

When she said this, everyone heaved a sigh of relief.

Since Yin Lin had said that it would be fine, it really would be fine.

Once the tension had cleared, Fatty Qu grew curious again. He came to Sima You Yue’s side and placed a hand on her shoulder. However, once he did that, countless eyes glared daggers at him, causing him to become aware that Sima You Yue was female, so he placed his hand down.

“You Yue, just what heaven-defying thing did you do that the heavenly law would actually seal your spirit energy again as punishment?”

Everyone’s eyes were trained on her so she smiled, saying, “I’m not too sure myself. Yin Lin didn’t say it clearly. He only said that this was the reason why. Alright, let’s not tarry here. Everyone should continue doing what they were doing. Those who should rest, please do so. Everyone’s been tired these few days, so after you’re done resting, let’s party!”

“Alright!” The heartbreak valley men were elated. They just loved to party, and would party without a care or worry.

“Let’s go prepare the necessary ingredients!” The married women in heartbreak valley said.

“Okay. Thank you for the trouble.” Sima You Yue said with a smile.

“What trouble is there? Everyone was waiting for you to return! In the past, I felt like those from Bloodfiend City would just fight and create a ruckus all day. When you left, we finally knew that we were used to that sort of noisy environment. Alright, Vice Valley Master. Let’s go prepare our things.”

“Alright.”

Everyone dispersed quickly, leaving only You Yue and the others behind.

“You Yue, do you want to rest as well?” Bei Gong Tang asked.

“I’ve just been in closed door cultivation the whole time I was out. I’m not tired at all. We’ve finally gathered after so long, how could I not properly reminisce on the old days? Let’s go, we’ll continue the conversation once we’re back at the courtyard. I’m extremely interested in what you guys have been up to. You guys have really grown a lot stronger.”

“We’re also curious about what happened with you. We want to know just what you’ve done that even the heavenly law couldn’t stand.” Wei Zi Qi said with a smile.

Fatty Qu and Ouyang Fei nodded. They really were very curious.

“Nothing much, actually. I just took two things out.” Sima You Yue said.

“Things? What things? It even moved the heavenly law!” Bei Gong Tang asked.

“Don’t be anxious, I’ll tell you slowly. It’s because I don’t know which one it is, or whether it’s because I bought them both out.”

“Which one?” Fatty Qu cried out, “Heavens, You Yue, you even ravaged the Immortal Land!”

“Let’s go, I’ll tell you more when we’re back! Little Spirit has had many things to tinker with these few years!”

“After not seeing those guys for so many years, I’ve rather missed them. Should we continue this in the spirit pagoda?”

“Alright...”

Sima You Yue took them back to her courtyard. After twenty years, her courtyard still remained relatively similar to how it was before she left. Someone would come by to sweep it everyday, so there wasn’t a single speck of dust.

Due to their request, she took them into her spirit pagoda and got Little Spirit to prepare some wine. She and Bei Gong Tang prepared some side dishes and everyone ate and drank while recounting what happened all these years.

What happened to Bei Gong Tang and the others were relatively straightforward. They found some treasure in the little realm and snatched some fortuitous opportunities. It was pretty similar to the experiences of others. However, it was not the same for Sima You Yue. Every incident of hers was hair-raising. As they listened, all four of them were stunned.

“So you’re saying that your spirit energy was sealed away possibly due to you taking out Qing Yi or Little Black.” Ouyang Fei said.

“Yin Lin merely said that what I took out would influence what happens in the future. He didn’t say what it was, so I have no idea which one it is.”

“Woof woof-”

Little Black ran in front of Sima You Yue and cried out twice, scaring her till the wine cup in her hand dropped on the table before her.
