Chapter 362 - A Difficult Situation

There were guards protecting the outside, and there was no need to worry that the spirit beasts or that other people would attack. A few of them started to adopt a serious mannerism, having decided that if they did not absorb all the spirit energy here, then they would not wake up.

But just in case, they summoned out some spirit beasts. One of the reasons being, to avoid Array Masters like Sima You Lin, and another reason being to stop them from training too much, just in case they exceed the time that they have set and end up having to stay there forever.

They trained here, and Wei Zi Qi and the rest trained alongside the Snow Wolf Clan. Bei Gong Tang and a few others trained with the Sabre-Toothed Tigers, and Sima You Yue and Crimson Flame trained inside the magma. There was a lot of space and opportunities for them to train, and their progress was visible to them all. Not everyone else was so lucky to be able to find places to train as they came and lingered or wandered around. Sometimes, other individuals passed away, and some of them found other opportunities.

Time flew by and before they realised it, they had already been in the place for half a year. At an open plain, a group of people who were injured stayed there to rest.

“Older Sister, what do the Zhan Family members want exactly?” Guo Liang looked at Guo Pei Pei’s injuries, and exclaimed angrily, “Do they want us to break of relations with one another?”

Guo Pei Pei ate some pills, and her face was rather pale. She said, “Now they have connections with other people, and they want to put us, then Yun Family and any other family that opposes them and destroy all of us at once. If they do that, then there would be no evidence that they were the masterminds behind all of this.”

Guo Fu was also hurt, and as she heard what Guo Pei Pei had said, she replied, “I wonder what kind of family they built connections with… What strong powers they have…”

“They must be people from that Great Continent, only that place could create people with such powers.” Another member of the Guo family said.

“Considering their plan, it’s as though they are trying to take down the people from the Divine Devil’s Valley. Maybe it’s because they have a score to settle with the people from the Divine Devil’s Valley.” Guo Fu said.

“That might be so.” Guo Pei Pei said. “Everyone should nurse your wounds. If not, when they catch up we might not have the energy to fight anymore!”

“Yes, Older Sister.” All the Guo Family members obeyed her commands and started to take care of their injuries.

A day later, all their wounds were recovering well. Guo Pei Pei was the first to awaken, and seeing that a few others were still nursing their wounds, she said nothing but got up and thoroughly checked her surroundings. This open plain had no special characteristic, but when she saw the mountain peaks far beyond, she was stunned.

“So we are being chased down, even up till here.” She murmured to herself.

In the mountain ranges far beyond was where she and Sima You Yue had split ways. Sima You Yue and the rest had gone to the Snow Wolf Clan’s territory, while they had left that place, and moved on to find other opportunities. She turned around, as though she could see a little of the mountain range from the plain.

“I wonder if they are still there.”

“Possibly.” Guo Fu’s voice said. As Guo Pei Pei looked up, she saw that they had recovered.

“The Snow Wolf clan said that there was a place for them to train, I think this must take more than one or two days.” Guo Fu said as she walked over, looking over at the misty snow mountains in the distance. Clearly, it had also made her reminisce the place where they had parted with Sima You Yue and the rest.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

“If they really are there, maybe we can pass over this difficult time.” Guo Pei Pei said. “It’s just that we can’t be sure that they would be willing to help us.”

“They should be.” Guo Fu said. “Brother Yun Yi is from the Divine Devil’s Valley, and he is the young master of the Divine Devil’s Valley. If a disciple of the Divine Devil’s Valley and our family is being chased down by the same people, I don’t think he would simply stand by and do nothing.”

“I hope… Ah someone is here!” Guo Pei Pei suddenly cried out.”

“Is it the Zhan Family member’s people who have tracked us down?” Guo Fu said, afraid and flustered.

“Yes, Big Sister.” Guo Fu woke everyone up, and just as they were about to prepare to escape, Guo Pei Pei suddenly relaxed, saying, “It’s okay, we don’t have to escape. It’s just Yun Feng and the rest.”

Not long after, a flying beast appeared in their line of sight, with the Yun family on its back. Seeing Guo Pei Pei and the rest below, Yun Feng and the rest started to make their descent. The Yun Family members’ bodies were also riddled with injuries, fresh blood soaking into their clothes.

“Yun Feng, where is Brother Yun Yi?” Guo Pei Pei asked worriedly, as she could not see Yun Yi amongst them.

“Older Brother is with the people from the Divine Devil Valley, and didn’t escape with us.” Yun Feng coughed. His stomach had been stabbed with a knife, and he was in danger of losing his life.

“Take some pills to heal your injuries.” Guo Pei Pei said.

“We have already wiped out all our pills.” Yun Feng said, smiling bitterly. They never thought that the Yun Family would be pushed to such a state. In these two months, they had been in an endless cycle of getting injured and escaping, being found, attacked and then escaping again. And so, all the pills that they had on hand had been wiped out in that time.

“Have some of ours then.” Guo Pei Pei gave him the last of her pills, and looked at the Guo Family, saying, “Who has pills on them? Take them out now.” The Guo Family members quickly took out all their pills, and gave them as was sufficient to the Yun Family.

Yun Feng knew that Guo Pei Pei and the rest were also running out of pills, but before he could reject her, he heard her say, “Since our families are long time friends, we will be there for one another for better or for worse. Under such circumstances, if your family can get stronger, then we can have more combined fighting power. Do not reject us.”

Yun Feng saw the look in Guo Pei Pei’s eyes, and was touched. He nodded, and received the pills. The Yun Family took cue from Yun Feng, and only ate the pills themselves after seeing that he had taken the pills. Yun Feng ate the pills and considered for a moment, saying, “Let us continue moving. Those people could catch up to us at any time.”

“Why didn’t Brother Yun Yi go with you guys?” Guo Pei Pei asked, not understanding.

“The other party had a really powerful member.” Yun Feng said. “Older Brother said that amongst them was someone from the Sage Pavilion.”

“The Sage Pavilion?” The Guo Family membered cried in astonishment.

“And I heard him say that there are people from the Cloud Cave in there as well.” Yun Feng said. “The Cloud Cave and the Divine Devil’s Valley members are sworn enemies, and they have collaborated with the Sage Pavilion to take down the Divine Devil’s valley. If we move along with them, we would we in great danger.”

“So the Zhan Family has made connections with the Sage Pavilion!” Guo Pei Pei said. “Amongst the people who were chasing us down there were some people dressed in white robes, and they looked pure. They must have been people from the Sage Pavilion.”

“Brother Yun Yi is at the brink of attaining a Divine Ranking, I think he should be able to deal with the Sage Pavilion members, right?” Guo Fu said.

Yun Feng shook his head, looking at them, saying, “Sadly Older Brother and the rest do not have the upperhand in this case…”

“Why do you say so?” The Guo Family was shocked. “Are the Sage Pavilion members and the Cloud Cave members that powerful? The members of the Divine Devil Valley should be very powerful people, right?”

“It’s not because of that.” Yun Feng said. “The Divine Devil Valley did indeed call out many of their powerful members… But one of the Sage Pavilion members has a contract Sacred Beast!”
