Chapter 947 - Blood Fiend City’s City Lord’s invitation

By the time Sima You Yue came back, everyone had already understood what she meant and most of them had already thought through it, thinking of trying it out with her.

“Yue Yue, someone’s looking for you.” Little Seven heard the door opening as she shouted from the first storey.

She reached the first storey and saw two people whom she didn’t recognise, standing in the lobby.

“This must be Young Master Si Yue?” One of the men cupped his hands in greeting towards Sima You Yue and said, “I’m City Lord’s Residence’s steward. Our City Lord will like to invite you and this young lady over as guests.”

“City Lord is inviting us?” Sima You Yue was slightly astonished.

“That’s right.” That steward continued, “City Lord heard that two experts had arrived in Blood Fiend City and would like to invite the both of you to the City Lord Residence to be our guests.”

“Only us two?”

“Yes.” The steward replied, “City Lord said to just have a short meeting and will not affect the matter you have on tonight.”

Looked like the City Lord knew everything clearly!

There was no reason for them to reject the invitation while they were on their turf.

“Alright then.” Sima You Yue smiled, “Little Seven, head over to the City Lord Residence with me. Shi Chen, if we aren’t able to make it back in time, then go ahead directly to the Blood Arena. And those few people’s matters, do according to what I instructed earlier on.”

“We understand, Boss.” Shi Chen nodded his head in response.

“Young Master Si Yue, please.”

“Sir steward, please.”

Two beast carriages stopped at their door and when the beasts saw Sima You Yue, one of them blew its nose twice at her.

“Young Master Si Yue, please head into the carriage.”?After the steward finished talking, the coachman immediately pulled the door open.

Sima You Yue held Little Seven’s hand as they walked up onto the carriage while steward followed suit into the other carriage. Even without a coachman, the beast carriage was able to run on its own towards Castle Lord’s Residence.

“Yue Yue, do you think that Blood Fiend City’s City Lord looks very scary?” Little Seven questioned.

“Why do you ask this?”

“If he doesn’t look burly and coarse, how is he able to jolt and control those runaways who live here?”

“Hur hur, we’ll know when we meet him.”

The duo chatted in the carriage in laughter and very soon, they reached the city centre where the City Lord’s Residence was.

City Lord’s Residence indeed look extremely majestic and imperious but Sima You Yue didn’t sensed any presence of living humans at this place.

“Young Master Si Yue, Miss Little Seven, please follow me.” After steward got off, he waved his hand and the two beast carriages were ferried away.

Sima You Yue and Little Seven followed steward into the City Lord’s Residence but he didn’t brought them to the front courtyard’s main hall. Instead they took a very long walk to a desolated courtyard at the back.

When they entered, they saw a man dressed in white sitting under a tree, which reached high into the sky, holding on to a teacup in his hand.

“City Lord, Young Master Si Yue and Miss Little Seven are here.” steward took a step forward and announced their arrival.

“Welcome valuable guests, I am Blood Fiend City’s City Lord Li Hong. Please take a seat.” That man gazed towards them with a listless look in his eyes.

Sima You Yue had not expected this Blood Fiend City’s City Lord who was dressed in a snowy white robe, with not an ounce of mundane temperament, was actually blind!

Sima You Yue pulled Little Seven along in front of Li Hong and said, “I’d not expected to startle City Lord Li and to obtain City Lord Li’s reception.”

“Young Master Si Yue is too polite. I’ve not done anything much to entertain you, only a cup of tea. I’d have to ask for you not to despise this.” Although Li Hong wasn’t able to see with his eyes, but he was agile in the action of pouring tea as not a drop of tea was poured out of place.

He poured a full cup and pushed it in front of Sima You Yue, then poured another to Little Seven.

Sima You Yue picked up the teacup and brought it to her nose to have a whiff as she praised, “What fragrant tea, I’ve never had such kind of tea in the past.”

“The tea is made from dried tender tea leaves from this Blood Demon Tree here. The scent is very special so please have a taste.” Li Hong said.

Sima You Yue took a small sip and the tea indeed was especially fragrant. However her brows creased slightly.

Little Seven didn’t even bother to try after taking a whiff at it.

“How is it?” Li Hong watched them in anticipation although he couldn’t see at all.

Sima You Yue put down the teacup and gave a slight smile, “Indeed not bad.”

“Then why wouldn’t Miss Little Seven drink it?”

“Little Seven had never been fond of tea.” Sima You Yue reminded Little Seven as she spoke, “She only likes eating those sweets.”

“Sweets are nice.” Little Seven quipped.

“City Lord Li, please don’t mind her.” Sima You Yue said smilingly.

“Why would I, children all love eating sweets and not liking to drink tea is a very normal thing.” Li Hong gave a smile as he replied.

His smile was very light which made one feel comfortable.

“These tea leaves are all picked from this Blood Demon Tree?” Sima You Yue raised her head and took a look at that enormous tree. There were very few branches and leaves on that enormous tree.

“Yes. Every time when spring comes, it will grow out quite a number of tender shoots and picking it after the spring rain tastes especially refreshing.” Li Hong said.

“The tea is good but its name makes one especially panicky.” Sima You Yue replied and didn’t touch that cup of tea again.

“Blood Demon Tree and Blood Fiend City’s timeline isn’t too far apart and in the past no one knew what that tree was called so it was named after the city.” Li Hong did not seem to?detect that she was not drinking tea. “This City Lord, I don’t have much good stuff to offer but since Young Master Si Yue likes it, later before you leave, please take a bag of tea leaves back. Consider it as a little token from me.”

Sima You Yue looked at his smile where it seemed as though there was an irresistible charm in it. She nodded his head and said, “Since that’s the case, Si Yue thanks City Lord Li.”

“It’s great that Young Master Si Yue likes it.” Li Hong smiled.

“City Lord Li invited us over today, surely it’s not just purely to taste the tea right?” Sima You Yue queried.

“Hur hur, if I say yes, will you believe me?” Li Hong asked.

“Don’t believe.” Sima You Yue spoke frankly.

“Ha ha, Young Master Si Yue is really frank.” Li Hong smiled, “Actually inviting Young Master Si Yue here, there indeed isn’t any other matter but merely hearing about the things that you’ve done in the Blood Arena last night and the night before so I thought of taking a look at what kind of battle power do the both of you have. At the same time I also wanted to find out what motive you have for doing these.”

Sima You Yue remained silent and he continued talking, “Actually I have no intention of condemning you. But on account of considering the safety of the city folks, I thought of trying to ask about this.”

But those who took part and renege on the agreement, would suffer a punishment. As for whether to take part or not, they have absolute freedom in doing so.”

An hour plus later, the steward sent Sima You Yue and Little Seven away. Before they left, Li Hong passed her a pack of tea leaves and smiled, “Chatting with Young Master Si Yue is indeed a relaxing and happy thing making the time fly past swiftly. This is this year’s last pack of new tea. Gifting it to Young Master Si Yue, I believe that the Blood Demon Tree would be very glad as well.”
